I swear this is the yummiest risotto ever... it’s truffle-Y, not too heavy or creamy and has crispy umami laden mushroom pieces atop. Also, there’s a 50% off all mains here so what’s there not to love. From someone who has tried almost everything on the dinner menu LOL, this is THE BEST

I’ve been on the hunt for some stellar Ipoh Hor Fun in Singapore 🧐 Silky slippery thin rice noodles with just the right amount of springiness to withstand a noodle pull shot... in a bowl of flavourful (not too herbal) dark sauce and toppings. It’s also SO easy to go #meatfree with this dish. The Chinese mushroom you can find in each dry hor fun option is soo meaty and umami is intensified from the drying process (really obsessed with dried chinese mushrooms lately 🍄 🤤). I ordered the Mushroom Hor Fun ($3.50/$4.50), yielding a generous serving of crunchy bok choy 🥬 atop the bed of noodles and mushroom bites. Got the smaller portion and thought it was really substantial already! 加-ed $1.50 to try their famous handmade crispy fish dumplings which were really yummy and added yet another layer of texture.

While I loved this meal, I did not think it was an insanely phenomenal plate of hor fun... the one at Maxwell — can’t recall nor find the name bc it’s not even “famous” — was tastier and the noodles were smoother. Think that dash of fragrant sesame oil did the trick... 😉

Prawn with Basil Cheese was the best for me. Sashimi was more fresh and had more variety than Genki. No hand rolls or fries or rice bowls though. Read the full article @lettherebe.food on Instagram!

A truffle centred Italian restaurant with a cozy yet chic charm situated next to Scarlet boutique hotel. Service was soo welcoming - no pretentious intimidating vibes - 10/10 would return!

Tajarin Casa. Signature 28 egg yolks thin noodles | fresh winter black truffle. This is unlike any pasta I’ve ever had — the only way I can describe it is overcooked thin meepok 😂 they do a really good job at soaking in all the flavour though. AHH alas the freshly shaved truffles + the GLORIOUS MAGNIFICent LUXURIOUS unforgettable

Starter: Capesante.
Pan fried scallops | truffle fondue | caviar | black truffles. Scallops were really fresh almost had that melt in yo mouth feel to it but the fondue had no truffle ¿

TRUFFLE VANILLA ICE CREAM 🍦like whuttttt! I was so excited for this but honestly the combination was really odd. It was like normal vanilla ice cream with truffle oil stirred through... blehh

Highlight has got to be the cream truffle pasta... not just truffle oil but actual truffle shavings albeit little for $22 ++

We started off on a pretty positive note with the Crabmeat 🦀 Croquette ($8). My only qualm is that the addition of coconut in the fritter wasn’t the best complement.

The Grilled Squid 🦑($18) was quite tough but still tasty. However the onion rice 🍚 that stuffed inside the squid was really mushy.

Spotlight on the signature main course — Sophia’s Risotto 🥘 (with crabmeat, coconut, chilli, mackerel). I don’t know if the chef made a mistake in our plate or if this is a disastrously planned concoction 🥴 . Seeing from the other negative reviews online, I believe it’s the latter... 😞 The coconut milk was too overpowering and weighs the already starchy dish down. Most horrifyingly.... there were pockets of rice with a really fishy 🐟 .. almost bloody taste 🤢 #SOS

Lastly, dessert featured a Lemon Tart topped with sorbet, mint leaves 🍃, raspberries and shards of rose flavoured Meringue. 💯 on presentation but theres room for improvement in the taste department...

Overall, I’m disappointed and shocked that we paid so much $$$ for food that should’ve been MUCH better (it’s under the Saveur group!)
