Extremely rich and smooth hot chocolate - a good mid-afternoon companion to chill.

(Note: I ate this for dinner, and came back again a few days later for lunch where I noticed the same item cost $16.90!)

This is wonderful, and the gold standard for salmon mentai bowls for me now (being an avid fan of the dish). I like that there is the option of swapping out white rice for healthier options like quinoa and cauliflower rice. However, I feel it js tastiest with Japanese white rice. The serving of salmon is very generous and the mentaiko sauce is strong without being overbearing. Two thumbs up from me!

Overall, this was a confusing dish. The thick slices of tamago with a splotch of mentaiko sauce was delicious on its own, but failed to come together with the rest of the don. I also felt the sashimi cubes could have been marinated in a stronger marinade since it was lacking the fresh sweetness of sashimi anyway.

Not the most value-for-money as portions are rather small and underwhelming, to be honest. I would also have preferred the beef slices to have been served hot instead of lukewarm (at best). The sauce helped to being all the elements of the bowl together but it really wasn't very outstanding to me.

This bak kut teh is of the herbal variety, different from the black pepper broth more commonly found in Singapore. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable to drink and flavoured the tender pork ribs very well.

What struck me initially about this bowl of udon was the huge mass of beef slices on top of the udon. The broth was mild and slightly sweet, and the noodles are very chewy. Not bad, especially with the 1-for-1 Burpple Beyond promotion!

The broth was a bit too salty for my liking, but I enjoyed the QQ udon noodles and melt-in-your-mouth pork chunks. Something interesting here is that there is also a toppings bar where you can add as much tempura bits, seaweed and black fungus as you like to your bowl of ramen/udon!

I liked that the top of the pudding was caramelised and to an extent, crisp. However, the pudding was a bit on the dry side and there was not enough ice-cream to (ironically) balance out its sweetness!

Traditional Italian cheese cake with mascarpone, coffee and Strega liquor. Very boozy lady fingers but the mascarpone cream absolutely hit the spot!!

Spaghetti with fresh clams, parsley, chilli garlic, white wine and olive oil. The white wine sauce was brilliant and had a deep kind of maturity to it. However, compared with the fresh pastas, the dried spaghetti did not impress as much.

Ravioli filled with minced beef, served with a light gorgonzola cheese sauce - the sauce was by no means "light", but I absolutely loved it!!

Handmade fresh pasta with scallops, prawns, green peppercorn with saffron cream sauce. The seafood was very fresh and the sheets of pasta had a delightfully firm bite. However, I did feel that the dish was overall a bit one-note in terms of flavour.
