Treat your tastebuds to a trip around the world when you come for Chef Ivan Brehm's "crossroads cuisine" cooking. The Chef's Tasting menu ($180, add $120 for wine pairing and $125 for sake pairing) is a 10 Course gastronomical journey that will take you from Hokkaido scallop tartare with toasted coconut and caviar, to poached Alaskan king crab in a black pepper and Tahitian vanilla sauce, to a bright and bold Saffron Fish. You'll end the meal on a sweet note with a unique Chinese liquorice and violet flower parfait.

Great for a birthday celebration or an intimate get-together, note this snazzy spot on Keong Saik Road for upscale yet comforting Spanish fare. Have the crowd favourite Pulpo Con Espuma de Patata y panceta Crujiente ($32) for pork belly and tender octopus on smooth potato mash. Also share the Black Rice with Grilled Mediterranean Red Prawns ($32) that sees rice infused in a rich squid ink broth. Save room for their standout desserts such as the Spanish "Torrija" with Ice Cream ($14) and the decadent Creamy Homemade Cheesecake ($14) — best enjoyed by blue cheese-lovers!

Keep this restaurant in mind for a celebratory meal with a stunning view and excellent service. For a value-for-money experience, have the Express Prixe Fixe Menu ($48 for 3 courses) at lunch. Expect starters like the fragrant Chicken "Laksa" Spring Roll, and mains like Brioche Stuffed Australian Quail or the Grilled Angus Beef Burger. For a decadent meal, come for dinner and have the Dining Room Tasting Menu ($155, add $150 for wine pairing). Indulge in dishes such as Handmade Agnolotti and aromatic Bincho Grilled Veal Tongue.

From the Dim Sum Set Menu (from $80, inclusive of a tea cocktail and free-flow chinese tea), expect standouts such as the Steamed Crystal Shrimp Dumpling and addictive Steamed Trio of Mushroom Dumpling with Black Truffle. Look out for the unique 'Snow Pear' Dumpling with Barbequed Pork. Add $48 for free-flow of beer, wine, soft drinks, juices and Chinese tea, or top up $98 for free-flow champagne.

This hole-in-the-wall pizza bar is perfect for catch-ups with your mates. You've come for the Green Machine ($25) — a veggie creation of bechamel, kale, pistachios and asparagus that will satisfy even the most die-hard meat-lover. Also good are the Umami Bomb ($29) and the popular Dr Pepperoni ($31) with red sauce, mozzarella, capers, chilli oil and thinly sliced pepperoni. End on a sweet note with Grandma's Carrot Cake ($12). Look out for their curated selection of wines by the glass or carafe.

Impress your date at this hip, unfussy joint on Club Street that's great for inventive cooking and natural wines (they carry small quantities of ~200 types). Start with their House-baked Sourdough ($6) and house-cured Charcuterie ($16). Then, have the Cedar Jelly and Foie Gras Toast ($16) for a melt-in-your-mouth moment you won't forget. The menu changes frequently, but the Beef Tongue Sammy ($26) and the Endive ($21) — a salad that is perfectly complemented by Kyoho grape and tete de moine cheese — are mainstays you must not miss. If available, end your meal with the Birch Syrup Tart.
