After your morning walk with your four-legged friend at the gorgeous Desa Park City, cool down with a coffee and sammich at this cafe overlooking the park. It's all about bread here, so dive straight for the Chutney Cheese Sourdough Sandwich (RM13) that boasts a darn good cheese pull. Otherwise, the meaty Salt Beef Sandwich (RM18) on crusty sourdough will also satisfy. Wash that down with an Iced Black (RM7) or the refreshing Red Tea (RM7). Ps. Water is available for your pets!

This crowd-favourite in Publika is perfect for brunch with the fam and your pooch. Go for the Benedict III (RM30), where poached eggs sit on fluffy French toast and are served with kale, mushrooms, beef bacon or turkey ham. Fans of pasta will enjoy the colourful Aglio Olio (RM24) tossed with sauteed mushrooms, black olives and tomatoes. Coffee's a must-have, especially the Long Black (RM8) or the Signature Iced White Coffee (RM15) that's good for hot days. Note that only the alfresco area is pet-friendly and water is provided.

Swing by this cool Thai-Japanese resto-bar in Jaya One for date nights with your loved one and pet. Water is provided for your pet, and you can sip on a refreshing Lemongrass Tea (RM8), or a cocktail – favourites include the Tub Tim Gem (RM35) and Amphan Gem (RM35), made with gin and roselle juice. Food-wise, have the Larb Moo Thod Burger (RM28), where larb comes in the form of a patty, as well as the addictive Thongchai's Nachos (from RM16) — wanton skins deep-fried and topped with spicy pork ragout. FYI: The whole area at The School, Jaya One is pet-friendly!

Bring your furkid along for your next weekend brunch date at this popular spot in Plaza Batai. Get your appetite going with The Big Breakfast Bash (RM32), with eggs, sausages and more. Psst. They also whip up a mean vegetarian version! Otherwise, the Sweet Mash Of Mine (RM28) with perfect poached eggs and sweet potato mash on dark rye bread is also a winner. Finish with a cuppa like the creamy Flat White (RM11) or a Cold Brew (RM15), brewed with Ethiopian or Colombian beans.

Spend your next weekend lunch at this cosy spot serving delicious modern European food. Following a farm-to-fork approach, expect all ingredients to be locally-sourced. Burppler Jesuis Enamourez recommends the Snapper Ceviche (RM35) as well as the Burnt White Cabbage (RM18) that comes on a bed of miso cream. End with the Coconut Panna Cotta, Passion Fruit (RM22), which Burppler Joey Sheon declares as the best in the area. Ps. They're located on the first floor, so visit with your smaller pups instead!

Spend a lazy teatime digging into sweet treats and catching up with a good friend. Share the signature Tiramisu (RM17) that's generously topped with tiramisu powder, or have the Matcha Tiramisu (RM17) to change things up a little. Another sure-win is the Strawberry Waffle (RM19) that comes loaded with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and dusted with powdered sugar. Note that only the outside area is open to pets!
