Dough is one of the rare cafés that we visited twice. We're drooling while writing this post.

These are the must try mains:
🍞 Dough Platter ($28)
🍞 Rosti & Shrooms ($26)

Most of the items in the plates were really impressive:
🔹Bacon steak was moist, juicy and well marinated with the smoked chilli maple glaze.
🔹Sautéed/creamy mushrooms were bursting with freshness, juiciness and that slight smokiness.
🔹Rosti was light, firm and crispy. This caught us by surprise as we weren't expecting it from a café that specialises in bakes.
🔹Their charred brussel sprouts were sweet, crunchy and made perfect with the char taste. It totally changed our perception about brussel sprouts!

Unfortunately, we personally felt that the scrambled egg was a tad bland and foccacia was too tough. The bakes were underwhelming as well.

Even dough *pun intended* the price point is on a steeper side, good news is they don't charge GST & service charge!

Ah Chew Desserts is no stranger to most. We were impressed with their cold Black Glutinous Rice, which clearly set itself apart from other competitors.

Adding a twist to the traditional black glutinous rice, it was cooked till rich and thick, yet not overly sweet. It was topped off with crispy almond flakes, which added different texture to the dessert.

It comes in cold ($4.50 with ice cream) and hot ($3/$3.50). Next time you visit them, do give this bowl a shot.

The cream mushroom spaghetti ($6) was slightly lack lustre as the spaghetti wasnt as creamy as how we would have liked it, but overall pretty decent still

Overall, this is definitely a place for friends visiting or living in Singapore to explore as the food quality is suberp at this price point - just that the portions are slightly smaller, so do prepare yourselves!

The chicken chop ($7) came with an amazing spread of side dishes, and all their sides such as potato salad (which reminded us of potato salads that we particularly enjoyed), Mac & Cheese (the cheese packed a punch) as well as vegetable salad were super fresh & tasted heavenly to us

The fish & chips ($8) were one of our favourites, made with fresh sea bass (cut literally on the spot), and the homemade tartar sauce had actual onion & pickles which accentuated the taste notes of the overall dish

Shaved Ice ($9.80) is a tad too lightweight in terms of taste notes wise, and we would have preferred that the ice to be slightly smoother compared to its present texture - but on overall definitely 100% aesthetically pleasing

The Cream Puff ($5.50) deserves a special highlight as it was consistently good, despite repeated visits from us - and we would definitely rate it as one of the best ones we have tried in Singapore thus far

Beef Kofta Shakshuka ($16), a beautiful remix of the popular favourite which has origins in Israel or Middle Eastern Regions, which surprised us with the cacophony of taste notes (savoury, tangy & a touch of spiciness) and yet still remain as a well-balanced dish

1. Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict ($14), which is honestly one of the better pulled pork we have tried in Singapore thus far, as it still retained its meat juiciness along with the added flavour notes that came from the rockets, corns as well as a wonderful peri-peri sauce rendition
-
2. Kouign Amann ($3.50), a Breton cake that has a crispy outer layer yet with a delicate interior that we thoroughly enjoyed sinking our teeth in
-
3. Cruffins ($5.00), it was our first time trying flavoured cruffins (a mix between a muffin and croissants) and friends who enjoy savoury yet sweeter pastries would definitely have a great time with this dish

The best part of our experience was the price & ambience (on a Monday noon). The entire place felt like a whole new town beyond JB!

Highly recommended place for food lovers who are looking for a chill place with great vibes & wonderful café food selections!

The chocolate cake here was especially decadent, and every bite smothered our tongue with generous amount of Dark Chocolate flavor. .

.
We also particularly enjoyed the interesting meal options presented here, and would definitely come back here for both the environment along with the meal experience. #burpple

The medium rare steak had the right combination of texture and thickness, which almost seemingly melt along with the beef fats. .
