What you get at WTF is not at all the run of the mill Indian vegetarian. With nine chefs working on their own specialties from Indian to Western and Mexican, this fusion restaurant is home to one of those seriously wacky menus that surprisingly, works. WTF (What tasty food) indeed. The Burpple community has established a consensus that their Fondue Cheese Pav Bhaji (RM16) makes the perfect comfort food. Served with soft buns and a side of pickled onions, the fondue sees a melting pot of spice, vegetables and cheese. Alternatively, try the chef-recommended Dahi Ke Sholay (RM18), a soft, crispy starter of breaded pockets stuffed with hung curd, vegetables and spices. There is also an intriguing, strictly-for-sharing Tava Masala Sizzler (RM35) that comes on a hot plate with marinated tandoori potatoes, vegetable cutlet and cumin rice. While this semi-casual eatery is made popular by its hybrid creations, it's not to say their Indian fare pales in comparison. In fact, the menu dangles an exceptional Dal Makhani (RM18), creamy slow-cooked black lentils to go with Naan (RM5). If you've exhausted all options, go off-course with a mystery Whatever (RM18) — anything the chef feels like making. In the case of Burppler Benjay Syb, it was a refreshing apple cabbage pita sandwich!

Not easy to find a good alio oglio that has a well balanced taste but this is it! Generous portion of pasta and vegetable. Also available for vegetarians.
We enjoyed their seasonal Wine coffee beans (RM10) - not that it was alcoholic, but it had a lovely light and fruity aroma and was processed differently.
We loved the al-fresco space and homely feeling - we managed to do a bit of reading 📖 as well. We were literally chilling in someone's backyard.

Find this pretty vegan bar-restaurant on the first floor, just above Michelin-starred Hawker Chan in Petaling Street. They're open from 4pm onwards, so swing by for light bites such as the Guac Out (RM20), guacamole and hummus served with homemade flatbread or the Shroom Arancini Balls (RM18) with harissa mayo. Sip on a housemade cocktail like the namesake Jungle Tapir (RM36) comprising asam boi, dark rum and kombucha. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available — Kombucha (RM13), Cold Pressed Juice (RM15) and Coffee (from RM8) by Rage Coffee.
Nestled in Damansara Perdana's business centre, Chinese Muslim kitchen Mohammad Chow makes it easy for Muslims (or otherwise) to enjoy authentic Chinese food. The no-frills restaurant is simply furnished, so don't worry about dressing up. Bring your colleagues and commune over sharing dishes like the Buttermilk Squid (from RM21.20). The deep-fried squid comes laden in creamy gravy that promises satisfaction. But if you prefer to savour your squid crisp, go for the Butter Floss (RM21.20) for its addictive butter floss. Opt to enjoy this with rice, or amp it up with a noodle dish. The Petai Fried Mee (RM10.50) redolent of petai and wok hei is scrumptious, and totally worth the breath mints after! Wash it all down with Chrysanthemum Tea (RM2.35).

For those working near Avenue K, halal dim sum specialist Dolly Dim Sum offers a letup from the usual lunch options. Take your business lunch down here for good nosh amidst stylish surroundings — the quaint bird cage-chandeliers and checkered glass panels are to thank for the restaurant's Instagram fame. Buns are done right, so be sure to share the Egg Custard Bun (RM7) or the Roasted BBQ Bun (RM8) with scrumptious chicken char siew filling — it comes very close to the real thing. Ordering siew mai goes without saying and their version of 'Siew Mai' Dumpling (RM8.80) is impressive, bouncing with tender chicken and prawns. Follow with a Glutinous Rice Parcel 'Loh Mai Gai' (RM8.50) that improves on the common recipe with a grand addition of abalone. Pro tip: The highly sought-after locale swarms with diners at lunch hour so call ahead for a table. However, they do not take reservations on Fridays so show up early instead.

Gourmet cheeseburgers for only RM10? You bet. The catch is that they're only open after 8pm and the burgers come with a wait — but it's worth it. Order the juicy Chezburger (RM10) made with 100 percent rib eye, or the Maui (RM14) for a grilled chicken patty topped with pineapple, smoky barbecue Tobasco mayo and cheese. Ps. You can also find them at Hawker Hall in Sri Hartamas!
