nice drinks and food just to end the long week hehe

used beyond 1f1 deal and opted for the maine-style lobster rolls this time! very tasty and decent portion of lobster 😋 mentaiko version definitely worth trying if you’re a fan 👍🏻

Ordered 2 sets with entertainer 1 for 1 - medium rare and medium. The steaks were decent but would say that it is only worth with the 1 for 1. Got to try both truffle fries and mashed potato for the side dishes. Would recommend sticking to truffle fries as the mashed potato had a weird aftertaste. The sauce goes pretty well with the steak but it was not proportional to the quantity of steak being served. It is a cozy restaurant and service was pretty fast as well!

This brightly lit, homely joint on Tanjong Katong Road is great for no-frills dinner dates. Share the delectable Cabonara ($16) featuring beautifully smoked bacon, and the signature Chaota Belly Good ($18) that sees pork belly strips chargrilled to perfection. Be sure to dunk the pork belly into their spicy house dip!

The restaurant insists on using only fresh chicken and this clearly is the x-factor for me as the succulent and tender meat with the crispy skin is the winner for me. Served with an onset egg, this chicken rice dish is not your average run-off-the-mill version but a premiumized one that actually works. Besides this main, Le Coq will also be launching new dishes such as the Beef Crispy Rice ($28) and Ribs & Rice ($18) that will cater to a wider audience.

Known for their amazing jap rice bowls, Rakki Bowl is a hot spot among the Tanjong Pagar area for hearty good bowls!

At $12.90 (small portion), you get a bowl of warm jap rice, lightly sautéed Wagyu slices, drizzled with truffle oil, topped with an onsen egg, chopped chives and fried shallots.

The combination after a good stir is a flavourful mix of truffle beefy goodness altogether.

An extremely satisfying bowl of wagyu don & the best part, is available on Burpple Beyond, which makes it wayyyyyy more worth it.

If you love a good bowl of sashimi donburi, Umi Nami is the place to go!

Thanks to #burpplebeyond, I managed to get these delicious & fresh sashimi bowls for half the price!

We ordered the Salmon Ikura Don ($25), Aburi Scallop Salmon Don ($17) & Aburi Scallop Mekaijiki Don ($24) to share!

Each bowl comes with a bowl of warm Japanese rice, mixed with a light dose of vinegar, before being topped with fresh sashimi. The ikura were like little pops of saltiness from the sea, mixed together with the sourness of the rice and freshness of the Salmon works perfectly together.

Finally made it down to Eleven Strands after hearing so much about it! & boy did they not disappoint.

Thanks to Burpple beyond, we managed to get our pasta at 1 for 1! We ordered the Grilled Prawns Pesto Pasta and Squid Ink Pasta, with a side of truffle Kombu fries & it was quite a full meal!

I love that they gave us the option of choosing our choice of pasta. I decided on fusilli as I wanted every curve and angle to hold on to the pesto sauce.

As the plate touched the table, I knew I was in for a treat! I first caught slight hints of toasted pine nuts & with every mouthful of pasta, the flavours grew more! Their version was pesto was on a lighter side and they added a pretty generous amount of olive oil, however, it wasn’t too oily. Even after finishing up the bits of pasta and prawns, I used the fries to wipe up the remaining puddle of oil as it was just soooo tasty!

Another winner from the menu was their grain / bowls - Ribeye Fiesta. We topped up an additional $2 for cauliflower rice - chopped cauliflower cooked with peppers & garlic.

To top it, you get a perfectly medium rare ribeye, smooth creamy guac, poached egg & parsley.

The ribeye was soft to bite and flavourful on its own. Paired with the cauliflower, you've got yourself a pretty healthy & hearty bowl!

P/S: this is available on #Burpplebeyond!!

Heard so much of this bowl of kolo mee since they were at Hangar that it was the easiest decision to make when we had to decide what to order!

This bowl of Roasted Pork Noodles aka kolo Mee, comes with eggless kolo mee (mind blown), mushroom salad, poached eggs, Japanese anchovies, parsley, spring onion & mint.

It may sound like your typical noodle bowl, but this bowl packs so much flavour, paying $18 for it was totally worth it!

Mixing in their spicy sambal, each component of the bowl complimented the other, making it easy for you to just lick up everything in it under minutes!

Best part, it's also available on #BurppleBeyond!

There’s like a million other Japanese buffets out there, but Shin Minori aims to carve out a slice of the over saturated pie by offering a very affordable Omizu lunch/dinner buffet. Better yet, it’s on Burpple Beyond, so a buffet for two is well worth the money invested!

Of course, when you’re at a Japanese restaurant that does sushi or sashimi, you get both without a second of hesitation. Shin Minori’s sashimi moriwase (yes, the whole dang platter is part of the buffet!) sees six different cast members of The Little Mermaid sharing space on a really yuge and kinda heavy bowl. The slices are generously thick and every last slice is fantastically fresh too!

With Burpple Beyond, you get one 1-for-1 dinner buffet, and two lunch buffets at Shin Minori’s Marine Parade outpost. Hey, that’s pretty good!

Thanks for hosting us Shin Minori, and thanks for the invite Burpple!
