Some things are just not worth clogging your arteries for. Take Sidewayโs ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก (~$22) for example. I could literally FEEL fatty deposits in my arteries every mouthful I took, which was probably why I stopped at 1/5 the bowl. Iโm serious, even every grain of rice was oily.

The eggplant that came with it was reeked of an acidic/sour mouthfeel, and though they were generous with the bowl portion, Iโd much rather have something worth the calories.

tโs hard to get salmon done well โ cooked enough that it retains its oil, but not too much that it becomes dry and flaky. Atlasโ ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก (~$18) achieved that feat. Together with chewy soy shimeji mushrooms and heaps of furikake on an egg, I donโt think thereโs a pairing Atlas doesnโt get right. -

You know when food serves its purpose to fill your stomach but isnโt fantastically great? Felt that in the case for the Steak Grain Bowl (~$14), which I enjoyed โkinda. The brown rice was a tad too hard, and the steak a little too under seasoned. But what made up for this was the crunchy and slightly oily crispy kale, and my fAVOURITE breadstick. Please give me a box of these breadsticks forever ๐๐๐ป

I love the ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐ช๐๐๐ก๐ (~$23), which ticked all the right boxes: Sous vide egg that ACTUALLY was done properly, beef seasoned and slightly charred at the sides, and perhaps the best thing of all: beef rice ratio of 2:1.
