For fans of KOOKS Creamery’s offerings of handcrafted ice-cream on oozy signature molten lava cookies, you’ll be glad to know that you can now pre-order them via their online store - kookscreamery.com. There is free Islandwide delivery with min. $65 spend, or if not self collection is available as well at their Serangoon outlet.

That said, featured is the Mermaid Spirulina Ice Cream atop Chocolate Lava Cookie that i had before the circuit breaker. The ice cream is actually mango passionfruit flavour mixed with the superfood spirulina, with a white chocolate mermaid tail topping. Tastewise the ice cream was zesty and pretty refreshing, and the combination with the hot chocolate lava and warm cookie made this a delightful treat!

Saveur recently launched her one-stop online food delivery store - shop.saveur.sg which offers islandwide delivery. You can choose to order signature dishes and ice cream from any of her 4 concepts (Saveur, MediumRare, Frapasbar & Bread & Butterfly)!

Featured is the Saveur Classics Experience Set, a 4 course meal consisting of French Onion Soup, Saveur Pasta, Saveur Duck Confit and Pistachio Baileys Panna Cotta. The French Onion Soup was a good starter, and you simply can’t go wrong with the signature Pasta and Duck Confit, as both were still really delicious even though it was dabao-ed! I ended my meal with the really delectable Pistachio Baileys Panna Cotta!

Available for islandwide delivery with minimum order of $50 and there will be delivery surcharge of $3 on eve of/and PH. Key in “JONNY10OFF” upon checkout to enjoy 10% off all orders during May & June 2020 on top of ongoing promos.

Here’s a throwback to my first lechon (roasted suckling pig) experience at Don Lechon Singapore before the circuit breaker. The crackling skin was so damn bloody crispy while the meat was tender and flavourful with all the fats melting in my mouth. It came served with rice and vinegar dip as well, which helped to cut out some richness from the meats.

That said, they are currently doing islandwide delivery via @lalamovesg, do check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DonLechonSingapore/ or WhatsApp +65 9778 9737 for more info!

Believe it or not, i had never tried oyster cake until recently when i chanced upon this stall at Berseh Food Centre. Shaped like an UFO, the cakes were crispy on the outside while moist and tasty on the inside with a decent amount of minced meat, prawns and oysters. Tasted great on its own and even better with the chilli!

That said, they are currently available for takeaway and also delivery for selected locations. Check out their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Fu-Zhou-Poh-Hwa-Oyster-Cake-403995279628755/ ) for more details.

They are back taking your orders for walk-ins (takeaway) as well as delivery; check out their page for more info on how to order if you prefer delivery.

That said, the teas here are all brewed to order using an espresso machine and i highly recommend their Grape Oolong! The taste is really refreshing, with the sweetness from grape juice, tartness from pressed grape skins paired with a highly floral Oolong tea all forming a perfect balance!

These were some of the sweet treats we tried before the circuit breaker:
~Monster Treasure ($3.50)
~Fruity Special ($3.50)
~ChenGO drink ($2.50)

My favourites were the Monster Treasure and ChenGo drink! The Monster Treasure consist of Mini Q Taro Balls, red bean, chendol jelly, Attap seed and grass jelly. The highlight of this refreshing dessert is definitely the super soft and smooth grass jelly! The ChenGo drink is basically chendol on the go with all their ingredients from their chendol presented in a takeaway cup. This was also really refreshing and you can customise your desired sweetness level as well.

They are currently only doing takeaway orders but heard that they will be available on GrabFood in a couple of days time, so do look out for that.

Featured are the Carbonara ($30.95) and Pimped Margherita ($26.95) pizzas, and both were really delicious! If i have to pick a favourite though, i’ll probably go for the former which is the perfect combination of everyone’s favourite comfort food (carbonara & pizza)! It is made up of white sauce, mozzarella & sweet leeks with crispy pancetta, rosemary & a free-range egg.

We tried their Pork Belly Bak Kut Teh ($10.90) and Braised Pig’s Trotter ($12.90), and were impressed with the fragrant and robust herbal soup base of the former while the latter was tender and flavourful! We also ordered the Muar Mackerel Otah ($9.90) and Fried Beancurd Skin Soup ($6.90) to share.

Triple Cookie: Caramelised cookie (speculoos) base with a tinge of sweetness that was pleasant, luscious and not too cloying. It is half coated with bittersweet chocolate and garnished with cookie crunch bits.

Brown Sugar Sago: This is for those with a sweet tooth and hardcore fans of brown sugar, as the sweetness can get a tad overwhelming after some time. Sago instead of boba pearls are used here, which lacks a chewy mouthfeel characteristic to that of the latter element.

Blueberry Pie: Blueberry base coated with white chocolate and garnished with cookie crumble bits. A characteristic tangy, sourness from the blueberry is well complemented with a pleasant tinge of sweetness from the white chocolate coating. Great to indulge on a hot day!

The Peanut Chocolate Cookie flavour is creamy and nutty, perfect for fans of peanut butter. The addition of chocolate cookie added a chunky mouthfeel to the smooth, creamy and nutty delight!
