|. I don't normally like shelled seafood because of the amount of work you have to do, but the sauce make me lick off every piece of fresh meat and shell. In fact, the crab was bought live and killed in our own kitchen π³ I was really shocked at the idea of stabbing a cute little crab with a sharp stick! π But it was the most humane way to kill them already. |

I think I'm better at this now. The other time I was so worried I would turn it into scrambled eggs that I almost undercooked the eggs. These were so creamy and saucy even though I didn't add any cream at all! .
I fell in love with takoyaki (and other fried stuff) when I went to Osaka a few years ago. I really ordered it from every corner π Pictured is air-fried frozen takoyaki from iChef. Turns out really good if you microwave it first to get the inside cooked but still a little mushy. .
π Or... Is it? π€ Okay okay, the yam ring was bought frozen but it was so good! Air fried it and it was crispy on the inside and so so moist and soft on the inside. Not stale at all! Bought it from EN frozen, some HDB frozen food store in Jurong. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My dad always misses this traditional dish from his hometown and it's really hard to get an authentic version with silky smooth noodles here in Singapore. If you've never had it before, the soup tastes richly of prawns because it's made from frying prawn shells at first. Kind of like prawn noodles, I suppose! | .

This was an absolute joy to make because it was so easy to just fry the meats and onion together, mix it with the cream cheese, and assemble it together into a burrito. I even air fried it afterwards for that extra crunch, and it turned out amazing! . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When I was making the patties with raw meat in my hands, I was thinking of how much of a failure this was going to be because the patties just wouldn't become compact! But after squeezing a lot of water out, mixing butter in to simulate fat, and placing it in the fridge for a while before frying to make it hold its shape, the patties were a huge success! |
I fried them for 4 mins on each side and was really surprised that the patties were completely cooked through, even though they were around 4cm thick. I just sprinkled some salt on top and topped it with caramelised red onions, and it made a huge, delicious burger. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

π. Ok I confess I didn't make the actual crust be side I found some ready-made flat crust pizza that mission provided. I did make the tomato sauce and laid the toppings on top π the first one is pepperoni and eggplant, while the second is tuna and olives. The best bit is that it only takes 10mins to bake! . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I used a handheld electric whisk and I could whip one up (pun intended) in less than 5 minutes! I had no idea that the whipped coffee would be so resilient and was able to stand for a really long time even after putting it in the milk. And that the cream would be so full of concentrated bittersweet coffee flavour! .
Recipe:
2 tsp of instant coffee
2 tsp of sugar
2 tsp of hot water
Whisk together and put it over some iced milk. That's it! . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was my first time trying to roll sushi correctly but many of them still turned out quite loose π¬ well, practice makes perfect! I also tried making gunkan sushi (but it's hard to get the nori proportions right) and temaki. I have to say, temaki is probably the easiest and most tasty π and I never knew temaki was made from a rectangular piece of nori and not a triangular one π |
