[Eat-up] I had never tried this before but it was truly a sweet treat! It tastes like the "long xu" dimsum on the outside because of the spun pastry but was chewy and cheesy on the inside. Just like the baklava, it's drizzled with a saccharine syrup that went surprisingly well with the cheese.

Thanks Burpple and Mavi for the invite!

[Eat-up] There were about 7 of us sharing these 4 tiny pieces but we made it work. The morsel I had of this dish was flaky and not too sweet, with the addition of pistachio nuts at the bottom.

[Eat-up] Texture wise, I'm not sure this held up because it was a bit mushy even for moussaka (eggplants). They certainly didn't skimp on chicken and cheese though!

[Eat-up] The chicken was reasonably tender and nicely charred.

[Eat-up] The lamb was tasty but a bit more meatiness would be nicer.

[Eat-up] I wasn't sure what I was looking at here but it turned out to be lamb chunks with babaganoush underneath, and pillowy pieces of pita bread on the side. This wasn't really worth the price point and the plating could be improved as well.

[Eat-up] The spinach pide was a savoury delight! The spinach was the perfect amount of creamy and the pide was crispy on the outside.

[Eat-up] The sucuk and egg tasted kind of like a wannabe pizza to be brutally frank. A bit strange.

[Eat-up] The pita bread was pillowy and went well with the dips, though I wish that the dips could have been thicker.

The balloon bread was light and fluffy with the right amount of charred on the outside. Really interesting! The light sprinkling of sesame seeds on the outside helped to elevate the dish as well.

I've tried this takeaway but it can't compare at all to eating it immediately. The outside is incredibly crisp, which provides a differing texture from the mushiness within. It's well seasoned throughout, which makes you forget you're having a vegetarian meal.

Though pricey, I ordered this because I was emphatically recommend this dish as a meat-lover. Yes it lived up to expectations and delivered a lot of meat with a caramelised exterior, with a good balance of sinew and tendon. However, I didn't find it that mind-blowing enough to justify its price tag.

3 dip platter ($21.90) + 2x pita ($2.90) πŸ₯™ 9/10

The dip platter includes taramasalata (cod roe), tzatziki, and hummus. I actually enjoyed this the most because of the fresh ingredients in the dips. I could eat this every day!

Kalamari ($22.90) πŸ¦‘ 6/10

Looks good but it wasn't really battered to give it a satisfying crisp texture. Not that special in my opinion.

Meat platter ($97.90) πŸ— 7/10

Don't get me wrong -- I really enjoyed the fabulously-cooked skewers and lamb chops. They were charred outside while pink and juicy inside!

But most of the meat platter was filler stuff like meatloaf (kebab), meatballs, and sausage, which made the the price tag seem more reasonable. I'd very much rather order a plate of souvlaki skewers next time, which would only go at $18.90.

Htapodi ($32.90) πŸ™ 8/10

Hands down one of the best octopus I've ever had in Singapore. The octopus was firm, juicy, and marinated in a sharp lemon sauce that surely helped to tenderise the flesh.

Moussaka ($25.90) πŸ₯˜ 7/10

The eggplant was so thick it took up most of the dish while the sauce and cheese was just on top. Still quite a decent dish though.

Halloumi ($16.90) πŸ§€ 7/10

I quite enjoyed this grilled cheese when I was in Greece but it carries quite a hefty price tag here.
