Rice Bowls (Seafood)
the thiccccc slices of unagi๐คค๐คค
butterfly pea rice was mushy. bowl looks vibrant but overall flavours were quite eh. the salmon was tender tho and came with generous torched mentaiko which i appreciated!
the soba is...hot?? Not that I mind bcoz itโs smth interesting & the noodles didnโt turn soggy. selected Salmon Okowa & this was the MOST flavourful out of the 3 we had!
really loved this set! the karaage is a MUST GET itโs so juicy & sweet. selected Scallop Okowa but it was pretty bland & scallops werenโt sweet so Iโd recommend opting for another rice!
there was v little mentaiko mayo๐ฅฒ but i lovedd the aburi salmon!! slightly smoky with a cooked exterior and a soft interior
the oily fatty unagi melted in my mouth๐๐
After some small bites, the buttery๐ง and umami ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ($๐๐) was a satisfying end to our meal, boasting a harmonious combination of baby sardine, spicy cod roe and soy sauce๐โจ
do you see those flower petals๐ธ๐ธ can i just say how THICK the sashimi cubes were omg. okay but they missed out my tamago wtf. & the rice was literally a THIN LAYER, enough to cover the bottom of the bowl
generous with mentaiko!! my friend found it too much, but the more the better for me๐คช
for mains, we had the kei signature kaisendon & mentaiyaki kaisendon. there was a wide variety of chirashi! i personally preferred the mentai don for the char on the seared sashimi and mentai mayo๐๐
sides that came with the set include:
- yakitori
- salad
- clam miso soup (too thick but generous w ingredients)
- hot green tea
GINDARA MENTAI DON ($15.40, U.P. $30.80)
deep fried cod fish with mentaiko mayo. not badddd but a little lno varietyโ. and the rice is just plain whtie rice instead of the garlic rice they serve in the chirashi don.
