Their rice dumplings have the best rice and savoury meats ๐คฉ I love how chewy and soft their rice is and how flavourful and juicy their fillings are. Making this my go-to dumpling shop now!
Loved the savoury broth! The portions of pork ribs and king prawns were generous and the light and crispy ngoh hiang platter complemented the flavourful broth well. Value for money lunch spot overall, tucked away at a walking distance from Mattar MRT ๐
Had their fois gras miso pasta, pulled pork tacos for mains and their mango-misu as dessert. Enjoyed the lightness of the dessert and creaminess of the pasta, the staff were attentive and welcoming too. Overall a good spot to hang out with friends
Really enjoyed dining here! The staff were friendly and the food was so satisfying. The restaurant interior had little trinkets and artefacts of old Singapore which I thought was pretty cute. Particularly enjoyed the juiciness of the hainanese chicken satay and the dipping sauce and achar that came with it. I also ordered some mantou and had the singapore style chilli prawns as the dipping sauce. The mantou were a light crispy brown on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Got cashback on my visit as well! Would recommend that you make a reservation before coming to secure your seats :)
Really enjoyed the unagi, pearl rice and apple salad that came with my order (I got the blazed unagi bowl and lemongrass pandan). Unagi was savoury and just the right amount of fatty. Paired with the pearl rice... pure bliss. The portions are generous and I appreciate how attentive and friendly the service staff are. Would come again soon!
Really liked the mix of sweet, savoury and spicy from these dishes! I personally loved the Camembert cheese the most, it was lightly seared in the middle and became a delightful gooey mess when I hastily slathered it on the biscuits. Great place to hang with friends at!
The play between contrasting textures and flavours was awesome, really loved how the zest of achar complemented the savouriness of their pork knuckles. Their starters... give me life: peep their Truffle Camembert and Foie Gras Torchon. Trust me, you won't regret it.
Succulent meat, tangy sides and refreshing ciders make for a reaaally shiok dinner. My friend and I ordered quesadillas and buffalo wings from the starter menu, pineapple cider and Journey to the East pork ribs with mashed potatoes and garden salad. The quesadillas are downright amazing... the pulled pork dissolves in your mouth along with generous amounts of cheese folded into them. The pork ribs are delicious! You really don't need to try too hard to separate meat from bone because they literally slide off when you agitate it gently with your knife. The acidity of the salad's vinaigrette also blended really well with the fat in the pork. You should try it for yourself. I personally loved the laidback atmosphere and appreciate their friendly and attentive service. Would definitely circle back again!
