Conquered the limited-time Xiao Long Bao buffet ($29.80++) at Crystal Jade, ending this September. The buffet covered original Xiao Long Bao, 1 bowl of noodles per person, and 1 appetiser per table. Limited to 20 pieces per round and had to finish before ordering another round.
The Xiao Long Bao were piping hot, soupy, and delightful. Loved the juicy, flavourful fillings and the perfect skin. We devoured each round in under 5 minutes; that's how much we loved them!
As the rounds progressed, we noticed a change in quality during the 'late game'. The skin got slightly thicker, and the meat became richer, making us feel a bit overwhelmed or 'jelak', but it was still delicious. Perhaps we kept the chef busy and maybe pissed off by the speed we ate, but nevertheless, thank you for serving us the Xiao Long Bao.

Finally, blessed to dine-in with friends @redhouseseafood after a few months of waiting. Not because we are busy much but due to the Covid-19 restriction rule that is constantly changing faster than you change your diet.😅
Came in famish but left with a food coma while rubbing my belly.😋
We try 32/50 dishes from the menu and I assure you the buffet is overall worth it.🤯
Not only the food were great, the service were good too like changing of dirty plates and pouring of tea. The other 18 dishes didn't try cause too full and some items we don't eat or is just a waste of space.

Comforting after the meal. Chilled. Sweet. Yumm.
Flaky skin. Custard egg but not eggy enough. Not buttery at all. Not sweet. Bird nest for good complexion. Good thing is hot.
Chewy and smooth. Yum.
Lack wok hei. Lack savouriness. Decent fried rice with spam of ingredients. Fragrance. Rice is fluffly.
Salted Egg taste is nice. Batter is light and crunchy. Sotong abit hard but chewy.
Spicy. Sauce is great. But the fish is overcooked.
Same thing. Too saucey. But the veggie are fresh.
The classic. Clams were clean properly. Natural seafood taste.
Eat your greens. Yum. Savoury and crunchy.
The head is kinda dry. The body is ok. Crispy and tender. The seasoning is normal.
