The hojicha parfait started off great, with the smooth hojicha soft serve that had the right balance of sweetness paired with the chewiness of the mochi and the natural sweetness of the red bean.

However, it became overwhelming sweet nearing the end where the bottom is layered with what appears to be brown sugar jellies. Would have preferred if it was simply soft serve at the bottom as well for a consistent finish.

Once again, you get the option of either the matcha sauce or brown sugar sauce to go with your parfait. Better to stick with the former for a better balance.

Perfect choice for those who love both matcha and hojicha. Personally, I prefer the hojicha as it has a stronger flavour profile than the matcha as a result of the roasted tea leaves.

The soft serve comes with the option of either the match sauce or brown sugar sauce.

We ordered the rum and raisin swiss roll ($12.90) with the burpple 1 for 1 offer, so it amounted to $6.45 per swiss roll.

The swiss roll had a generous filling of rum and raisin cream, and one can taste a hint of the rum. The cream was thick with raisins in it, and it almost tasted like ice cream.

Overall, I can appreciate why there are many positive reviews of this place. However, their prices are a little steep without the burpple offer. Perhaps if the Swiss rolls were larger and thicker, only then would it be worth the original price of $12.90.

Having tasted this, I know why they claim this to be their number one selling item.

There is a generous filling within the puff, which tastes something akin to hokkaido milk ( albeitnin cream form). There is a faint hint of sweetness and is great for those who do not like overly sweet desserts.

Prefer this over the matcha double fantasy.

For those who do not like overly sweet desserts, this will be your thing.

The puff has a generous filling. I was also impressed that they provided the ice coolant (as seen in the picture) for takeaways to ensure that the puff remains chilled.

Found this place on the heartlands.

They do have other more conventional flavours such as Earl grey and toasted marshmallows. However we went for the local flavours and, boy was the combination of pandan ice cream and gula melaka sauce a treat. Would recommend this combination!

The only gripe is that the waffles could have been warmer and more crisp.

Will be back for more! The place is fairly small and has limited seats though, so be prepared to wait.
