the bara chirashi ($19)has generous amount of chunky sashimi especially salmon cuts ๐ฃ๐ the rice is drizzle with a light unami sauce absolutely love it and a sashimi craving fixed๐

The entire place exudes an eclectic feel and the mystery surrounding it is that there is no menu at all. Your fate (and drinks) lies in the hands of both mixologists, Abhishek and Johnny. The entire laboratory setup is like a playground for both of them as they get the opportunity to experiment, brew a tonne of infused gin and concoct genius shaken beverages based on your preferences. For the drinkers, you are literally walking into Willy Wonkaโs Chocolate Factory but this time round, you can get thousands of cocktail combinations that might not even contain chocolate.

Opting for something refreshing and lighter on the palate, I was presented with a martini glass that contains a cocktail made with yanang infused gin, shakes with hibiscus and dandelion while the lady got a gin cocktail of yuzu, red date and chrysanthemums. Utilising a lot of Asian flavours, Oriental Elixir is truly a bespoke bar that is a hidden gem and a great location to kick back some drinks after a long day.

After more than a year of wanting to try Third & Sixth Bistro Bar, I finally managed to drag a few friends along with me to sample their offerings. Now, the only question is why it took me so long.
Their eponymously named No. 36 burger ($14) is beautifully crafted from a high quality beef patty that's tastefully thick and grilled to a cool pink medium rare (note to self: ask for it to be cooked medium the next time), followed up by a pile of strikingly sweet caramelized onions being laid atop the beef. A slice of cheddar cheese is then melted to marry the onions and beef together, followed up by two smoky rashers of bacon which are sensually draped atop the whole affair before the meaty menagerie is entombed by crusty, toasted multigrain buns.
The patty itself is a party in your mouth, due to it being superbly seasoned and tantalizingly juicy, before the creaminess of the cheddar and the savoriness and smokiness of the bacon elevates this beautiful beefy patty right into burger bliss. The bun is rather subjective, as one of my friends found it a bit too crusty for his liking while I personally enjoyed the crustier texture which contrasts well with the soft texture of the minced beef patty. Do note that the burgers are standalone, and the sides of fries come separately. And in all honesty, $10 for sweet potato fries and another $10 for shoestring fries with truffle mayonnaise on the side is kind of exorbitant.
Surprisingly, Third & Sixth was very quiet for a Saturday night, and service was excellent. In fact, the supervisor even had ample time to recommend us beers to go with our burgers, and the differences between Thatcher ciders. Overall, this Bistro is a choice venue to get your burger and boozing on at.
Popular dish. Attractive and a mouthwatering idea. But I wished it had more flavour and was more tender. The stuffing refers to removing the two bones from the top half of the wing and stuffing more meat in.
A different lunch alternative if you are around the area! Good bowl of thai wonton noodles reminiscent of Thailand!
Have heard of Manzoku for a while as I was a fan of Chikuwa Tei and they opened a rebranded outlet. The sliced sashimi still maintains the fresh quality with a plethora of seafood. The more premium bowl contains sweet shrimps, scallops, grilled unagi and salmon roe. Can't fault the ingredients if they maintained high standards with a relatively affordable price tag.
Ordered Kuehs, kaya toast and the donuts!!! Kaya toast is yummy, donuts are incredibly fluffy MY STOMACH IS SATISFIED!

After viewing the huge portions of food and ooey gooey cheese on the nachos platter, we knew we had to grab a couple of friends to tackle this together.

Fluffy fries with a crisp exterior.
This dish felt like their rendition of Poutine - albeit less saucy.
The Crispy fries came with a topping of kimchi, cheese and meat.
Yum yum ๐

Nothing really special about this.
Felt like this could be given a miss entirely.

It took some nudging by a friend to visit Kki. Iโm the biggest advocate for desserts, especially those that look like a work of art and โtaste the partโ but the reservation policy at Kki and excuse of a busy schedule were deterrences.
Thankfully the nudging resulted in an cake experience by a self taught chef that creates exquisite cakes. Some were required an acquired tastebud to appreciate for example the Nero had a strong truffle paste that will set my palate back each bite. Next Koide (above) paired mint and grapefruit together with other sweeter fruits (peach and lychee) - the tiny yet potent mint leaves with grapefruit pulp was either love or hate beside the other subtle flavours.
The friendlier cakes we had were Jโs and the crowd favourite Yona. Half the time I was just enamoured by the presentation and wondered what sort of dessert techniques allowed for the mousse/curd to hold so well together yet was smooth and so easy on the palate.
Overall everyone should visit Kki at least once- an invitation to pause from a world of visual clutter and taste whatโs been plated (as per written on the unique menu) ๐
