got the regular size! bowl looked quite small but the portion is actually filling enough. the sashimi was fairly fresh but i wasn’t a fan of the rice was a lil gooey and doused in sauce :-( decent enough for a quick meal but at similar price points, i’ve definitely had better elsewhere

one word: UNDERRATED. japanese curry tasted pretty standard but paired well with the star of the show β€” the katsu 🌟 deep fried to golden brown, the exterior was crispy while the interior remained super tender and juicy πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ» heard their standards can be inconsistent but it definitely impresses on a good day πŸ€ͺ

noodles are springy and good, chashu was reaaally tender though abit too fatty for my liking and i enjoyed their unique seaweed topping! what they are known for is their chicken broth, which was lighter-tasting yet flavourful but i think i’m still more familiar with (and prefer) typical pork-based broths 😬

no idea how i’ve never tried this place despite its convenient location and affordable price point but i’m glad i finally did!!! loved how springy the noodles were and the chashu slice was quite tender. what stood out to me was the broth, which was rich and especially flavourful due to the garlic oil! not the lighter tasting type of ramen but no doubt a really hearty bowl that’s bound to satisfy 😌

have been eating this for years and the quality is consistently great 🀀 generous portion of fresh sashimi cubes with other ingredients like tamago, cucumber and steamed ebi. especially love the sprinkle of furikake and the crispy tempura bits for an extra savoury touch and crunch 🀩

quite a steal at this price point! unagi was freshly grilled to order so expect a short waiting time but for piping hot unagi, i have no complaints. can’t expect a generous portion of unagi of course but they were really decent β€” crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. glaze was a little sweeter than i’d like but definitely acceptable for most people!

not a pork lover but this was surprisingly impressive! the pork was really tender with a smoky charred flavour which i really liked! plus the sauce wasn’t too salty or overwhelming like at other places that i’ve tried. it’s a pity that the egg was overcooked and tasted cold 😣 guess i was just unlucky that day because i’ve seen so many photos of runny yolks!

like the other niku king ramen, this bowl also came with a generous amount of chashu slices that were really tender. the soup base is both sweet and savoury which makes it less jelak compared to the tonkotsu. however, it being soy sauce, i advise against drinking the broth cos it’s really quite salty even after opting for a lighter soup base


niku truly lives up to its name; just look at the generous amount of chashu!!! compared to tonkotsu king, niku king’s broth is creamier and richer because they use fattier cuts. am glad i opted for less salty, otherwise it’d have been too overwhelming for me! as for the chashu, they were really though a little too fatty for my liking. what i liked most about this was actually the noodles - thicker than the usual ramen noodles and so so springy!!! with a nice firm bite to it. tbh the ideal ramen for me would be tonkotsu king’s broth + niku king’s noodles 🀣🀭
