In two minds about this dish. The deconstructed (read minced) tofu mixed with finely chopped veggies and deep fried is perfectly crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside. However the yuzu flavored mayo sauce was too strong on the citrusy taste and felt it needed something else to balance it out.

Delish and substantial meal even for the small serving. Chock full of stir fried veggies. Even the shiitake mushroom was not excessively chewy. They have renovated recently but I prefer the previous more subdued decor. Also disappointed that many of the earlier dishes have been taken off the menu.

Keep coming back to Real Food’s dumplings. Decently sized and Stuffed with mushrooms, carrots and a variety of other vegetables. Served with cherry tomatoes, kailandar and thick noodles in a light mild sauce. Like how their dishes bring out the flavor of the vegetables without overwhelming them. Good choice for a clean meal

Headed down here because of the great reviews and their vast menu of Korean vegetarian fare. Quite close to Tai Seng mrt. Cosy ambiance with low tables. Tried the individual pot army stew medium spicy and chock full of ingredients. A hearty vegetarian meal and filling for one. Would come here more often if it weren’t so far for me :(

Green dot has replaced their soup set series with the yong tau foo style nourish bowls ($2.5 for 100g of ingredients). Which is good in a way that you can customize your ingredients. Along with the usual mushrooms, leafy vegetables and mock meat they have introduced veggies/tofu stuffed with ‘meat’ paste. Comes with free flow soup (laksa/mala/herbal) and choice of noodles or rice. Affordable and quantity is good for hearty eaters. A good choice if you want to try vegetarian yong tau foo.

Absolutely love this dish, rice flour ‘rotis’ delicately flavored with green chilies, jeera, onion and curry leaves served with coconut peanut chutney. Only available Tuesdays and Fridays dinner and often sold out if you get there late. This dish usually takes more time to be served an indication that’s it being prepared authentically. Green dot never fails for clean healthy meals. Had this wholesome bowl of dry noodles with oyster mushroom, shredded carrots, lettuce and fried tofu and spicy paste. Crunchy veggies, crispy tofu and noodles blend very well with the flavorful spicy sauce. Comes with a clear herbal soup.

Was pleasantly surprised to hear that there was a vegetarian cafe serving Indonesian fare so decided to hop on over here. The food did not disappoint. A fair warning their food tends to be on the spicier side, however the staff did a good job of explaining the spice levels and the dishes were served to our liking. Many dishes can be veganised. Fried rice was good and served with lion mane mushroom rendange. They have limited time specials of which we tried the bakwan jagung, corn fritters served with a sweet and sour sauce which were super crispy and addictive.

Green common a newish plant based eatery tucked away in a corner of Vivocity. The restaurant is pretty spacious but hard to find hence didn’t seem very crowded. Had the Shanghai noodles with braised mushroom and capsicum and Omni meat. Does a decent job of mimicking flavor profiles of meat dishes. Feels a tad bit expensive for the quantity but guess due to the cost of Omni meat itself. They sell plant based/organic products too.

Formally used to be Yuan Vegetarian, tucked away in a quiet mall it is easy to miss. Botanict has a large menu of plant based Asian/western cuisine. Loved the clear soup mee hoon kuay (6.9 Sgd) and the steamed dumplings in mushroom sauce (10.9 Sgd) especially liked clean flavor of the soup and the crispy mock ikan bilis on top.

Black bean patty with guacamole, onion tomato and baby spinach. Choice of two side, I picked onion rings and salad. Patty combination was tasty albeit not in the least bit spicy since it was ‘curried’. Restaurant tucked in a quiet corner of orchard central and has a nice view of the little garden on Killney road. Excellent place to sit in the rains.
