First Izakaya Iβve been to this year and am glad to say it did not disappoint! Started off with a Gyu Ponzu which, despite looking rather unassuming, was full of flavour. Ordered a couple of skewers, of which my favourite was the Tochigi Wagyu A4. The juicy and (incredibly) soft meat definitely made good itβs slightly steeper price point! The star of the night for me were the Sake-Cooked Oysters. The oysters were cooked to perfection - plumped up with the sake it was cooked in, biting into the firm flesh released a heavenly umami. From good and reasonably priced food, to the cosy atmosphere and attentive staff, this place is truly a hidden gem. Thank you for making this weeknight a great one!
