A cozy pub with a really nice decor, a really nice place to enjoy a beer with friends. The food was homely and comforting, especially on the rainy day that we visited. The Roast Beef ($28) was tender, served with a nice savory Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes. The Beef and Onion Pie ($28) was hearty and flavorful, alongside the side of peas, potatoes and carrots. Overall, I enjoyed spending my time here catching up with friends over food and drinks. Would recommend this pub if you're ever in the area!

While it was easy to miss the stairs leading up to this restaurant, my partner and I spent a wonderful dinner at this high-end steakhouse. We were first served the bone-marrow and caviar on sourdough, which was a lovely, bite-sized appetizer. The breaded pig's head was crisp and very snackable, and came at a rather large portion too. It came alongside the grilled octopus, which had a delectable smoky flavor (somewhat like smoked idako), and was really soft too. The mains we got were the truffle mac and cheese, which was rich and had a strong truffle aroma, and two cuts of wagyu steak. The steaks were, of course, of high quality, amazingly tender with a high marble score, and done to medium rare (my preferred doneness). Definitely the highlight of the night. The mains were served alongside fresh, chunky beef heart tomatoes, which were a really great contrast with the heavy flavors of the mac and cheese and steak. Tiramisu was served as dessert to round off the night's feast; a fitting end to an evening of memorable dishes. Would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions and date nights.

Homey American-style diner near Sixth Avenue station. Ordered the bourbon Ribs ($26) with mashed potatoes and butter corn. The ribs were amazingly tender and the Bourbon sauce was really good. The mashed potatoes were equally good, being creamy and possessing full-bodied flavor. The Root Beer Float ($5.50) complemented the ribs well as a delightful treat of a meal. Would come visit again given the opportunity!

Located right next to Botanic Gardens MRT, in the heart of Bukit Timah, Fat Belly is a cozy steakhouse that serves some of the most mind-blowing steaks I have ever tried, complimented with some spectacular sides.

We started off with Fried Camembert ($17), which was served with jalapenos and truffle honey. The cheese had a wonderful crisp exterior while still being delectably gooey inside. But the star here is the truffle honey; a very strong black truffle flavor complemented the sweet honey and camembert..

The two steaks we ordered were the Jack's Creek F1 Wagyu Deckle (rib cap) MS (marble score) 4/5 ($58), and the 2GR Full-Blood Wagyu Denver (underblade) MS 6/7 ($62). Both had a crisp, charred exterior while maintaining a juicy and tender interior. Both cuts were bursting with decadent flavor, the wagyu being well-marbled and clean on the palette. Full of flavor from the fats and marbling, these cuts were magnificent, and I would highly recommend them!

The sides we had were the Grilled Broccolini ($14) and Charred Gems ($12). Both were charcoal-grilled vegetable dishes, and the charred gems were served with an exceptionally spiced yoghurt dressing with reminded me of curry. They were great antitheses to the charcoal-grilled meats.

The meal was rounded off with the House-baked Cheesecake ($12), which was served with a strawberry compote and gold leaf. The cheesecake was rich, and when complemented with the strawberry and passionfruit sauce, made for a wonderful finish to the meal.

While the food here was extremely tasty and enjoyable, the prices are undeniably steep, thus a visit to the restaurant would be perfect for special occasions. The interior was chic and stylish, while maintaining a cozy atmosphere with the warm and slightly dimmed lighting, which makes for a great setting for dates. I would definitely come again if given the opportunity!

Great place to socialize with colleagues after work. The restaurant is beautifully decorated like an authentic Japanese Izakaya. We had the 7pc Kushiyaki (assorted charcoal-grilled meats and vegetables on skewers), which had an enjoyable selection of skewers. The highlight was the pork belly skewers in my opinion. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage (Fried Chicken), which was substantially larger than usual. We ended the meal with Umeboshi (sour plum) and Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) Onigiri. The items we ordered were surprisingly filling, and definitely satisfying. Would come again to try more items from their extensive menu!

I chose pork ribs and tobiko balls for my mix-and-match noodles ($9). The noodles were of sizeable portion, and the ribs and prawn balls were served in separate claypot to preserve their freshness. The prawn broth was flavourful, rich, and very clean, and is one of the best I've had in Singapore! The ribs were tender and flavourful, while the prawn balls were perfect for someone who does not enjoy eating actual prawns. The Ngoh Hiang Platter ($11.50) came with an assortment of appetizers, with the star of the platter being the Crispy Prawn Cracker. It was a delightful variety of flavours packed in one plate. The dining experience was homely and quintessentially Singaporean, but if you're heat adverse, you might want to bring a portable fan as the location is not air-conditioned. If you're looking for prawn mee with superb quality and affordability, this is where I would recommend to visit!

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a lovely Russian decor. I ordered the Combo Platter ($19.90), which featured an assortment of 12 dumplings, Borscht ($9.90), which is a hearty portion of beef and beetroot soup, and Medovik ($8.90), Slavic layered honey cake.

The dumplings featured beef, chicken, pork and lamb, and various combinations of the meats. There were also 3 vegetarian dumplings, and the platter was served with sour cream. The skins of the dumplings were thick and smooth, and the variety of fillings made the platter an interesting treat of flavours. 12 dumplings seemed like a small portion, but do not underestimate them; they are pretty filling!

The Borscht was surprisingly light despite the hefty portion of cream on top, and the light beetroot served as a nice counterbalance to the chunks of beef. The soup was delightfully sweet and sour, and it is a very good entry into Russian/Ukranian cuisine.

A slice of Medovik was extremely filling, as the cake was decadent and sweet, dense and packed with flavour. I would recommend sharing a slice of this popular Russian dessert, as it might be too much for one to handle after a filling meal.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience to finally get to try Russian cuisine. I would definitely return to try out other dishes!

Really decent beef bowl for its price. The truffle aroma was strong and permeated the entire dish, and made for a decadent base combined with the onsen egg and rice. The beef was soft and flavorful, done medium rare. Would come again , especially with the Burpple Beyond promo.
