Made the trip down specially for this and it didn't disappoint! The crispy chicken katsu is coated with a thin layer of bread crumbs and deep fried. Wrapped in omelette, the garlic fried rice is simple yet delicious. The elements of the dish came together well (though the egg isn't the runny type that we often see). The hefty portion was another plus point!

They serve matcha / cream cheese / mix soft serve which I decided to go with the mix to get the combination of both flavours. The matcha flavour was intense with hints of bitterness and the cream cheese flavour is creamy, slightly savoury and salty. These two flavours blended quite well with one another with a mix of different tastes all in one cone. As it is a soft serve, it started melting a little too fast after serving.

The pancakes are as fluffy as they look. Soft and eggy, they pair really well with the lemon maple syrup, homemade berry compote and fresh whipped cream. The only complaint we have is that there needs to be more of the berry compote and whipped cream. They were gone before we were starting on the third piece! Priced at $19.50, this is part of their all day breakfast menu but we think that this can be a dessert as well. Recommend to share this with another as it can get quite filling after a while.

Great ambience as it had very chill vibes and they even had a huge TV inside. Their waffles were very fluffy and i would prefer if they could drizzle more honey/chocolate sauce as i like it sweeter. Their pistachio ice cream was really rich and nutty!!

I didn't know there was a @wacaisg hidden in the food court in bugis junction. The acai here is refreshing as usual and I love how we can add cookie butter now too! It's a better deal when we have these with drinks at one for one with #burpplebeyond 🤗

I think I am simple when it gives me so much satisfaction and joy to redeem an excellent burpplebeyond deal. Just being greeted by this display of baked goods made me so pleased; until I had a sip of the Ethiopian pour over coffee along with a bite of moist and dense gluten free orange tea cake. 2 words: pure bliss.
Not long after I find myself greedily finishing my pain au chocolate, which are one of the better croissants around town.

My second time here and I want to tell everyone that wired monkey is the place for great coffee and bakes.

Drizzled in teriyaki sauce, the shiitake mushroom is juicy and came with runny eggs too. Love how the tofu is crispy on the outside yet soft and silky on the inside 🍄

Featuring The Dark Gallery's ice cream cookie, which contains a scoop of ice cream placed in between two pieces of cookie shortbread. For the ice cream, there are three flavours: sea salt butterscotch, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. We tried the sea salt butterscotch one as it sounds like a more unique flavour but it was rather disappointing, as the ice cream did not taste salted at all and the butterscotch taste was pretty faint. 😑

Thankfully, we enjoyed a one-for-one promotion using our Burpple vouchers and we were able to enjoy two ice cream cookies for the price of one!

Do note that the ice cream cookies are prepared beforehand and stored in a freezer at a restaurant. Hence, it may be pretty hard to cut the ice cream at first, and you should probably give the dessert some time to thaw!

Ideal for the kid in me, the Animal Series Breads sees an adorable array of doughy treats. Shaped into a baby seal, the fluffy soft sour cream dough was loaded with a crowd-pleasing chocolate ganache - foolproof but perhaps a tad sweet. Similarly, the Asanoya Panda ($3.50) is one for the sweet tooth with a decadent white chocolate filling and milk chocolate for the eyes. For something lighter, the Lion Apple Bread ($3.50) features a bonjour dough filled with smooth custard and soft chunks of apple. For fans of melon bread, the Matcha Turtle Bread ($3) is an Asian-style milk bun with a hint of green tea in the distinctive biscuit crust  - not overly sweet and had a nice bite. Lastly, the pillowy-soft Asanoya Bunny bread was a savoury-sweet number with the single cheese chicken sausage.

White choc nori is my fav here. Nori is savoury and the flavour was very well balanced with the sweetness of white choc chunks and almonds.

I thought I will like savoury crunch as I like savoury ice creams but this had more crunch and cookie crumbs than ice cream. It was overly salted with no hint of sweetness. Won’t get this again

✨The Marmalade Mac & Cheese✨
We saw lots of people ordering this mac and cheese and thought we have to try it for ourselves! And we definitely understand why it’s a popular dish. The milky taste is quite strong and the consistency is just right; not too watery and not too thick. However, like most mac and cheese dishes, it gets jelat after awhile. I would recommend sharing this instead of eating this by yourself. And definitely eat while it’s hot!👍🏻
