The peanut Scones reminds me fondly of our local delight, muah chee! Light, slightly crumbly and totally irresistible, the scones belie the simplicity of their ingredients. I enjoyed the buttery fragrance that comes with every bite, and the crunch that the chopped peanuts lends to the chewy scone for a change in texture. I feel they are a perfect pairing with hot chocolate, tea, or coffee, whichever hot beverage that you fancy. ☕️

These scones are delicious 3 bite treats, or lesser, if you stuffed them in, but good things are meant to be slowly devoured 😌 An ideal complement to your midday break, you'll find these treats a delight, without feeling a heavy food coma attacking you once you're done with it and back to work.⁣

Orh Nee Mochi has got to be my favourite in the mochi series! Yam and butter play off each other in this scone, which manage to be light and decadent at the same time. Every mouth promises a myriad of flavours and textures, thanks to the buttery crust, subtly sweet and smooth yam paste along with a chewy, stretchy mochi. Heat it up for the best experience, which had me devouring them one after another in quick successions 👅

Absolutely lovely and utterly delicious, chocolate and lime play off each other in this scone, which manage to be light and decadent at the same time. The fragrance of lime was noticeable, but not overpowering, lending a refreshing contrast to the sweet chocolate.

It takes a few out of the ordinary ingredients to bring a simple bake like a scone from potentially boring, to memorable. And in this case, it was the incorporation of earl grey and figs. The aromatic scent of earl grey was apparent, and I particularly like the flavour of it, subtly sweet and the chewy fig does add a certain charm to it. This is my parents' preferred option of the three scones they tried!

This irresistible golden scones is delicious on its own without any bells or whistles, and easily made it to my favourite of the lot. Biting into this lightly crisp scone will reveal a moist and fragrant interior which serves as the perfect vehicle for the butter cream accompanying it, or you could opt for a dollop of jam or flavoured butter (Bordier anyone?) for one of those 'ahhh' moments. Perfect pairing with tea!

Heard much about Swish Roll’s bakes and decided to get some. Contrary to their handle, I actually prefer the croissants over their swiss rolls 😂

Croissants were flaky as they should be and lightly crisp when heated up and I enjoyed most of them. The swiss rolls though, weren't as soft and fluffy as I had expected them to be. Taste wise, they were pretty textbook - not cloying, not heavy, pretty well balanced but the texture of the rolls were rather coarse. Given their price tag, I'd say this is going to be a rare indulgence 😜

Absolutely love the Chocolate Croissant as well, always pinching at one when I made my way to the kitchen from my room to refill my cup, and unknowingly finishing them all - lightly sweetened with a nice cocoa fragrance. Mochi wise, I prefer the flavoured ones from Mini Ones at takashimaya heh ✨

Lemon & Cranberry Loaf was good though it still comes in second behind the Earl grey. Not only did the pop of red from the cranberries helped aesthetically, it also gave off a tinge of tartness and was slightly chewy which gave off a better bite. Lightly heat it up in the toaster and you’d get a crusty exterior.

I’m a fervent fan of lemon/citrus bakes and am thoroughly impressed with Johan’s Lemon & Earl Grey Loaf. The refreshing scent of lemon hits you the moment you open the bag, and I’m delighted to see a generous amount of citrus peels dotting the bread, adding on a slightly chewy texture to the otherwise pillowy soft bread. The distinct earl grey aroma lightly perfume the loaf, complimenting the bright zesty flavour profile from the lemon 🍋!

One of the hot favourites, I can see why their Sticky Bun is such a hit with consumers. Resembling an over-the-top cinnamon roll, the soft buns are packed with cinnamon aroma and drenched in dark, thick, sugary glazed topped with nuts. I enjoyed the nuttiness element, which helps to balance out the overall flavour but as you get to the bottom of the bun, it starts to get a tad dry. My recommendation is to take the bun and slide it all over the packaging, to absorb every last drop of the glaze, works like magik ✨

My family members and I are like bread monsters, always over ordering bread and other pastries whenever I spot them and this time round, it's the lovely bakes from Bakers Bench that's been on my list for the longest time!

Lemon & various other citrus bakes are my weakness guys. This lovely Lemon Lime Drizzle is moist and nicely tangy, definitely a treat for anyone who adores the bright, zippy taste of citrus. The glaze on it simply amplified the overall flavours, maintaining a nice balance of sweet and tang.

Pain au Chocolat
One of the better ones around! Shattered into a million shards, creating a mess for me to clear up but I'd order it again!

I wake up the latest in the house, so I didn't get to try any of the other bakes I got. Paid for these bakes but my dear family didn't even bother saving 1 mouth for me to try, SHAME ON THEM! 😂😡

I've seen so many reviews on my feed over their puff and my oh my, I finally know what the hype is all about! Thanks to my groupbuy for coordinating, otherwise my sorry ass would prolly not get to try it yet 😂

Started out with the OG cream puff, which has lightly crispy sugar bits on them which aided on the overall texture. Biting into them was pure bliss, with the smooth and luscious cream exploding all around and hitting the right spot ✨ Made with Hokkaido Biei jersey milk, the filling was light yet thick at the same time, with a consistency akin to that of melted ice cream and had me licking my fingers clean. There was a hint of cheese with every mouthful of the cream, which was well balanced because it didn't bog me down despite the copious amount.
