Trattoria La Vita just streamlined their menu and their latest menu is a lot more limited than before. Nonetheless, we decided to give the Trattoria a try because we were quite impressed by the food the first time we visited! In particular, we liked their pizzas because the pizzas here are thin-crust pizzas which are tasty with a crispy exterior, yet they do not fill your tummies easily!

The Burrata Alla La Vita is a tomato-based pasta with prosciutto ham, rockets and of course, Burrata cheese. However, the Burrata was a little too solid and it should probably have been left outside a little more before it was added onto the pizza. Aside from being a little difficult to spread it, the Burrata was great and really creamy! The ham and tomato base are pretty standard so there is no need to worry about the other ingredients.

Although this is a decent dish overall, we still preferred the unique menu items that the Trattoria used to offer in the past, such as their Shirasu Whitebait pizza which is no longer available. 😭 Thankfully, the restaurant is still on Burpple and you should use your Burpple Beyond vouchers if available to enjoy a discount! 😁

Our fave dish is definitely the Chicken Overload, which is always well executed - chicken cutlet was crispy outside and moist inside; mash potato was dressed in a creamy truffle mushroom sauce that is thick and flavourful but not jelak; and the dish was finished with a sous vide egg and crispy lotus chips [$16].

It is a pity that they are no longer on Burpple Beyond, but the food and coffee are definitely worth paying the full price for!

The Duck Confit Hash here was a combination of all my favorite things. Tater tots, a generous amount of duck meat, and poached egg. The ultimate savoury dish that was elevated with their red wine sauce. Plus the textures within the dish came together just right. Crispiness from the hash, silkiness from the poached egg and a softness from the tender duck meat — amazing! Easily one of my favorite brunch finds.

Trying 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 thai crepe cake 😋😍 Bought OCTOBER DIY BOX OF 4 for $28 - Thai rose , taro , tiramisu and ovaltine flavours. They also include the sauce to drizzle on top to enjoy their crepe cake. My favourite flavour will be ovaltine and tiramisu 😍👍It taste not so sweet at all , with rich amount of cream in between the crepe cake. Pretty appearance and taste so good. @twobakeboys

very very worth it! $7 per person after the burpple 1 for 1 deal. not overly crowded on evenings, dish was served out quite fast, just felt that service could be improved. the special salmon don has too much mayo in my opinion, kind of undermined the taste of the salmon. aburi salmon don was good though! overall good experience and definitely worth it (even without the 1f1!)

Peep this new restaurant nestled in Cecil Street serving the most delectable fusion of Western and Asian cuisines. If you're spoiled for choice on what to eat, simply order up their pastas ranging from classics like Bacon Carbonara ($17.80) and Classic Vongole ($18.80), to fusion flavours like Alfredo Chicken with Mushroom and Truffle ($20.80) and Spicy Seafood Spaghetti ($18.80)!

Looking to get a cool drink or dessert to cool yourself down from the sweltering heat? Head over to this dessert shop to grab some fusion ice creams and shakes! Choose from an extensive menu of special fusion shakes, ranging from their Brown Sugar Thai Milk Tea Shake ($5.50) with thai milk tea ice cream topping to their Mango Passion Coconut Shake ($5.50) with passion pop toppings. Don't miss out on their unique ice cream flavours like their Cha Tuk Chak Coconut Ice Cream ($5.50) and Speculoocious Coconut Ice Cream ($4.50) too!

Housed within Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, this restaurant serves usual traditional Peranakan cuisine with a modern twist! Try their Foie Gras Duck Confit Fried Rice ($22) for fragrant rice fried with duck fat served with foie gras and succulent duck leg, and Coconut Prawn Linguine ($23) for al-dente linguine and fresh prawns simmered in an aromatic blend of nonya herbs and coconut milk. Burppler I makan Sg especially enjoyed the Braised Ponteh Lamb Shank ($27), which was "indeed tender and fall-off-the-bone. The Ponteh sauce went well with the lamb shank and wasn’t salty as I initially worried about."

Man, if I knew that @hardrockcafesingapore served up such ridiculously redolent ribs, I would’ve become a regular customer years ago. I’ve had some repulsive ribs, and many succulent ones down through the years, but Hard Rock’s may have just trumped them all.⠀

While $41.95++ for this rack will come as a bit of a jaw dropper, this is a full rack of baby back ribs, which come in at a hefty eight hundred grams. Yep, it’s definitely enough for two to share. These porkers are seasoned superbly with Hard Rock Café’s signature spice blend, glazed with house made BBQ sauce, and grilled to sublime succulence.⠀

The spice blend has penetrated & permeated deep into the meat, producing deeply savoury & fabulously flavoursome pork ribs. The rib meat was insanely juicy and felicitously fatty despite being baby back ribs, not the fattier St. Louis style ribs. The ribs were flamboyantly showcasing its wet, juicy qualities with every single morsel of meat. I must commend the chefs at Hard Rock Café for being meat magicians, as they grilled this ravishing rack o’ ribs to absolute faultlessness. Just look at the meat, man! It would probably slide off the bone if you so much as looked at it.⠀

But wait, there’s more! The tangy barbecue sauce that’s been slathered in just the perfect amount onto the fat, juicy rack turbocharges the salty, meaty qualities of the meat with it’s sweet & slightly vinegary tang, causing your saliva to flow freely just like the meaty juices from this P H A T rack. The house made barbecue sauce is utterly unctuous, and I demand that Hard Rock Café bottle the sauce and sell it. I want that stupendous sauce on everything. That’s right, EVERYTHING.⠀

I’m glad @burpple & @hardrockcafesingapore invited me to come down and have my mind changed. No, Hard Rock Café is no longer Boomer Central. It’s Rack City, Rack Rack City. And imma be racking up these huge, juicy racks.
