Alley on 25 offered both western and oriental selections.
I personally like the oriental selection, as the dimsum platters are quite yummy. The porridge is a bit too flavourful and peppery as I prefer a clean and light porridge for breakfast.
My favourite dish is the laksa - the soup is very rich and creamy, yet does not make you feel βjelatβ. The laksa itself is al-dente, chewy enough yet not soggy. This laksa menu is also available for lunch.
Tldr - when in doubt, order beef wellington!
The Festive Menu (79++) is available from 29 Nov to 25 Dec 2021, consists of 3-course meal. You can swap the main to beef wellington (which I recommend, after trying the turkey breast) for additional $55 (1 portion) or $109 (2 portions).
The seared scallop for starter was the best among 3 dishes I had, although it would be perfect if they did not overcooked the scallop.
The roasted turkey breast stuffed with chestnut and pigs in blanket was a bit disappointing. Plain and tough. Served with roasted vegetables which did not leave an impression.
The traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce was acceptable, but a bit too dry for my liking.
Overall, the Festive Menu did not exceed my expectation. Beef Wellington is still their best dish.
