Had lunch at So Good Char Chan Tang today. We tried the Hong Kong Boat Porridge, roast meat (Mix of 3 meat of your choice) and also side dish like the rice noodle roll, the french toast and the polo bun set with ice milk tea. Really liked the food here- we even ordered some egg tarts and CNY nian gao from the bakery next door! Good food at affordable price! 😋
Duckland boasts of the “farm-to-fork” concept, offering fresh duck meat directly from Ireland. We tried duck soup noodles and topped up to change to duck drumstick. I couldn’t taste the difference between Irish duck and local/ordinary duck though. Despite this, I enjoyed the lunch because of the great food and service. The duck soup was rich and tasty and the meat was crispy and tender. The staff was extremely friendly as well. We also tried the duck liver with bread. Foie gras is definitely an acquired taste so try it only if you are a fan.
Kam’s Roast is a spin off of the original outlet in Hong Kong. The brand has earned itself a Michelin star and this is what attracted us to this restaurant in the first place. The food did not disappoint but we thought that the portion could be more generous considering the price tag and comparing it with other restaurants we’ve tried in SG. In the end we had to top up the meat because it’s not enough for everyone.
