Wilson's Favourites (Rarely Go)
Nestled in Laselle is one chill cafe where everyone seem so engrossed in books and laptops on a Saturday afternoon, plus their drinks are also great - $3.80 for honey green tea and $5.80 for a really thick hojicha latte. You can also find really cosy sofas and warm lighting here. Plus wifi!
Recommended by a friend to give this a try.
The menu states serves 2. However, if you’re a big eater like me, it’s enough for one. I requested for no rice though, and they acceded without fuss 👍
Nicely grilled meats, although it took a while. The platter consists of lamb chops, lamb kebab, beef kebab and chicken cubes.
Spicy lemongrass Clams
- MUST TRY! You can even drink the soup that comes with it. Very refreshing. Portion size is decent too.
Spring rolls
- (fried) one has a unique taste
- (normal) similar to the ones you get in vietnam. (except without the smelly veggies - was a plus pt tho)
Beef pho - great with the additional (lime/lemon/lemongrass) they have provided us with. Very generous with the beef too. Beeffff 🥩🤤
Wagyu beef cubes, parmesan truffle fries & cappuccino for starters!
I like to come by here once in a while, plonk myself on their cozy couch and attempt to read books. I used to love their honey mustard chicken burger but since that's off the menu (why??) I had the chipolata & bacon breakfast, which was average. Ordering the lychee frosty is a ritual for me. They don't serve fantastic food but the atmosphere is enough to keep customers hooked.
A good cuppa by the window or maybe some truffle fries would be a pretty great way to spend the weekends - can't believe it's only Tuesday.
I love waffles from Stranger's Reunion, and the waffles here did not disappoint. Soft fluffy golden waffles with vanilla beans ice cream, drizzled with vanilla infused strawberry compote and granola. Yums.
Super soft and melty pork ribs, expensive but well worth the money.
Portion size is also huge and leaves you full. The only obvious problem is that the sauce is splashed all over the chops at the time of service. So you really have no option but to enjoy the sauce as is.
The place has Lovely decor, great ambience, super friendly staff and above all they have us 10% discount just like that.
The food is average and nothing memorable but this is not the place for foodies. This is a drink and chill kind of place and does a great job at that. Expect around 120 for 2 people with food and drinks. The place has outdoor seating which is smoker's and pet friendly
4 stars
Here is our platter of half a dozen oysters featuring a pair from three different French varieties. We left it to the discretion of our server to pick the combination. I must be getting old because although she did an introduction, I can't recall their names...
Regardless, it's good to know that Culina's shucks them fresh (and for free) upon order. These tasted fine but as I'm not overly fond of briny oysters, the creamy ones I had at "Oceans of Seafood" a couple of months ago remain my favourite.
