Li Ting's List
Used the 1 for 1 bubble tea, ordered the avocado shake shake and the grass jelly milk tea to try out.
Refreshing taste
This is one of the items from their Jan/Feb specials, the 6 inch lychee rose crepe cake is priced at $58 and it’s suitable for 6 to 8 pax. Immediately caught a whiff of the lychee flavoured whipped cream when I opened the box.
The cake is made of 20+ equally thin layers separated by lightly beaten whipped cream that isn’t too sweet. The cake came with 4 packets of Thai Rose Tea sauce, which adds more flavour when drizzled on it. Overall, this was a very light dessert and I highly recommend it!
This is my second time purchasing from them. I’ve previously purchased a box of 8 from them and some of the flavours that stood out more were: Thai Green Tea, Tiramisu, Taro (was pleasantly surprised by this as I’m not a huge taro fan), Sesame 😋
My boyfriend and I actually had a really good experience here! Some items were a miss but some were really good. The makis were really good. The Temptation Maki is our favourite. The fried baby octopus is really good too!
Here’s some items that we thought we thought weren’t worthy of a space in our stomachs : beef slices (too overcooked), garlic pork skewers.
It's a standalone restaurant at the start of Somerset with nice ambience. Enjoyed a hearty portion of nasi lemak with thick otah and satay chicken. The pork slices were very well seasoned. Was a delightful lunch and worth it with one for one.
Tried the French Poulet chicken with mushroom ragout and mash potato/ black pepper and French fries. Portion was decent.
I personally prefer the taste of the mushroom ragout to the black pepper sauce!
Light and crispy waffles, that are already good on their own! Also had scoops of chocolate and pistachio gelato that were thick and full of ingredients..
Waited for an indoor seating as it was very hot (There are a lot more outdoor seatings compared to indoors). Ordered Big Brekkie, French Toast, Filter Coffee and Cold Brew. Food was good, big portion and definitely a good deal with the 1-for-1. Thumbs up for the coffee as well.
Honey baby ribs ($21)
Pork chop & mesh ($18)
Truffle bacon pasta ($17)
The ribs was good as well as the pasta. However we didn’t enjoy the pork chop. Maybe it’s preferences, but overall it was good.
Pop by this coffee kiosk in the west wing lobby of Solaris @ Kallang 164 for a freshly brewed Hand Brew v60 ($6) and Matcha Latte ($5) for that midday perk-me-up. Made with sweet potato sauce with steamed milk, the creamy Sweet Potato Latte ($5) will be an instant hit with all your sweet tooth friends! For a refreshing take, their Earl Grey Strawberry Cold Brew Tea ($5.50) will be the savior on a sweltering, hot day.
