Must Try
Probably the best beef bowl on a budget; $23++ gets you meaty slices of grilled US angus short rib drizzled with truffle soy sauce, an oozy onsen egg, and a slab of seared foie gras glazed with black garlic brown butter on pearly grains of seasoned rice.
The cashier who served us was friendly and made good recommendation. 👏 It's rare for @nckai to suggest trying FatCat because the fiancé is usually not a cafe person. So I took the chance to order two desserts even though we were already full from lunch. Took a little while to shoot and edit this photo, I kept asking him to choose which shot looks better and he says all the same. 😝😝
We went to Toa Payoh today just to find this Claypot Mee Tai Mak ($10) that was originally located at Chinatown/Maxwell area but has since shifted to Toa Payoh Lorong 7, Block 19. Super flavorful, affordable and packed with lots of ingredients such as minced meat, prawns and diced vegetables. Stir and mix the raw egg before serving which adds an additional dimension to this fine dish.
Equally satisfying seafood & meat!!! This place is super popular so book early to score a seat here :) | ★★★★★
The robust and flavourful stock base of this recently (re?)popularise iconic Penang street food has lived up to expectations of this stall which is quickly gaining celebrity status. The ex-SQ steward and stewardess couple coped amicably with the stop stop queue of customers at the stall, greeting them with their signature smile and attentiveness. I missed the big shrimps after a 40 min queue at around 9pm, but was pleasantly surprised with their boiled pork ribs which was tender and retains the porky goodness.
Delicious 😋

Finally found u :)
Checking out this new nitro cream spot at East Coast Road. Their Delectably Special flavours are fusion flavours, such as this Chendol which involves Salted Gula Melaka ice-cream with pandan jelly, atap chee and red beans. The Salted Gula Melaka was full of coconut goodness, and the red bean provided a different dimension of sweetness, with the atap chee gave the ice-cream something to bite.
This needs no introduction 😋😋 $6 per bowl with a $5 meat ball soup
