Kurma Chicken is a delectable Indian dish known for its rich and creamy curry made with a blend of aromatic spices and herbs. The term "kurma" refers to a style of Indian curry that typically includes a coconut-based sauce. In this case, the dish features succulent pieces of chicken cooked in a flavourful sauce made with a combination of whole and ground spices, as well as coconut and other herbs.

The curry used in Kurma Chicken is characterised by its thick and luscious consistency, which results from the use of coconut milk or grated coconut. The coconut adds a delightful creaminess and subtle sweetness to the dish, perfectly balancing the spices' flavours. The blend of spices used in the curry can vary, but it often includes ingredients like cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, and coriander, among others.

The tender pieces of chicken are simmered in the fragrant kurma sauce, allowing the meat to soak up all the delightful flavours. This combination of tender chicken and rich curry sauce creates a mouthwatering dish that is incredibly satisfying and comforting.

The Kurma Chicken is typically served with aromatic and fluffy basmati rice, known as Biryani rice. The flavours of the curry and rice complement each other beautifully, making it a popular and wholesome meal.

At The Roti Prata House, their rendition of Kurma Chicken Biryani stands out with its delicious curry chicken made with a harmonious blend of spices, coconut, and herbs. The fragrant biryani rice perfectly complements the flavours of the curry, making it a must-try dish for those seeking a taste of authentic Indian cuisine.

For something sweet, I had the Coconut Appam ($2) ๐Ÿฅฅ. This warm, chewy pancake had a finely crisp layer on the outside and was topped with grated coconut and red sugar. The combination of the soft, fluffy center and the crunchy edges made for a delightful texture, and the coconut and sugar added a lovely sweetness.

For the savoury option, I had the Masala Butter Egg Thosai ($5) ๐Ÿฅž- a fabulous piece of thosai with a flavourful filling of mushy spice potato, carrot, and cabbage mixture inside the crispy batter. It had a strong buttery taste adds a rich and indulgent flavour to every bite, and the egg on the surface added a luscious touch to this delectable dish. The sambar is a burst of flavours with its tangy and spicy notes, while the chutney on the right side of the plate is a vibrant orange colour that caught me off guard with its fiery spiciness.

To quench my thirst, I ordered the Iced Tea ($2.10). It was super sweet and milky, but I loved it nonetheless. Although, I may have to welcome diabetes soon if I keep indulging in these sweet drinks! ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you're looking for something lighter, the Idly Set ($3.40) is a good option. It consists of 2 steamed rice cakes served with sambar and chutney. The idly itself was soft and fluffy, and the accompanying dips were simply delectable.

Next, I kapo some of the Mysore Masala Dosai ($6.80) from my friend, which was even more filling, as it was stuffed with spicy potato mixture to add an extra kick of flavour to the dish. The combination simply send me to nirvana.๐Ÿคฃ

A thin crispy pancake made from lentil and rice flour, served with sambar and chutney. The batter was nicely toasty and the sambar and chutney were absolutely delicious.

Met that one last bwraincell that say its not that far then proceeded to bring us walk from Farrer Park rather than Little India to the Vegetarian eating place all thanks to his poor map-reading skill. Lucky the food delicious or else he will be my meat on the table. ๐Ÿ”ช๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿค—
