everything here, food, service, and ambience, was fantastic. the clean and elegant interior provided a cosy environment for us to dine in, and the staff serving us were very patient and amiable.
i highly recommend the fried baby squid for starters. a delectable treat, the squid was, like what others have said, crispy but not greasy. the flavours really come together when dipped in the sauce they provided.
my friend and i ordered pan-seared norwegian salmon and grass-fed striploin for mains. i had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and buttery. paired with hollandaise, walnuts, and potatoes, the dish is scrumptious and nutritious. i tried a bit of the steak too, and it was incredibly tender and savoury.
we finished our meal off with the baked alaska. the meringue was creamy but also light, a nice contrast to the thick ice cream within. garnished with dried rose petals, the overall dish was both velvety and fluffy, a wonderful but comforting collision of textures.
dinner was amazing! the steak was flavourful, juicy, and tender. i also really enjoyed the appetiser (chilli crusted bone marrow) and the dessert (eton mess), which were absolutely scrumptious and satisfying.
