My partner and I had a chill dinner at Shukuu Izakaya. I particularly enjoyed the pork jowl which was juicy and flavourful, and the wagyu skewer that was mouthwatering and rich. The salmon sashimi was really fresh and the wasabi that came with it tasted authentic and slightly sweet. Staff were attentive and patient with us, even providing their personal recommendations. The restaurant is rather cold though, so do consider bringing a jacket!
Le Cheng's simple ambiance and hearty dishes create a nostalgic atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Their kampung chicken is tender and flavorful, and the white pepper claypot chicken soup is comforting and well-seasoned. Definitely worth a visit!
True to its name, Meat & Chill was a meat lover's paradise in a laid back setting. The grass-fed ribeye was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the honey mustard pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. If you like cakey brownies, you should definitely have a go at their brownies. Overall, a must try !
Lil Chef offers a delightful assortment of scones, including bestsellers Original, Truffle, Cheese, Herb, Cranberry, and Raisin flavoured scones - with each variety offering a unique taste experience. Their quiche is a comforting treat and a delectable indulgence, with a captivating aroma tempting you to dig in. These would be great for sharing in groups as they are rather filling, but delicious nonetheless.
had a wonderful date lunch with my partner here at gunther’s ! we both ordered the seasonal set lunch to share - my personal favourites were the gratinated cevennes onion, grilled half maine lobster, and the fine apple tart with rum raisin icecream. each dish was just bursting with flavour and the ingredients were really fresh. we were also served hot breadsticks fresh from the oven that whet our appetite for the four course meal ahead. not to mention the exemplary service from the staff, taking time to explain the dishes to us and providing helpful recommendations.
had a good lunch at zhup zhup! with fresh prawns and a very flavourful broth to boot, prawn lovers are sure to get their fix here. what more, there is one mini bowl’s worth of refill for the prawn soup if you can’t get enough of it! we also tried the claypot hokkien mee, which had the wok hei taste (charred/smokey flavour). staff are friendly and polite as well. a lovely experience!
I had a great dinner with my boyfriend here at Market Bistro - a quiet and chic restaurant in the heart of Singapore’s CBD. We ordered the Sticky Chipotle Fried Chicken as a starter, which was hot and crispy, and was glistening with a generous amount of sauce. For mains, we had the Irish Duck Confit the Grass Fed Ribeye for mains, and the meat in both dishes were really juicy and overall very flavourful. Last but definitely not the least, we had the Rich Fudgy Chocolate Brownie for dessert, and it was the perfect end to a very satisfying meal. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, making sure that all is okay throughout the evening. We had a truly pleasant experience and are eager to be back to try more of their dishes.
such a cute spot with amazing food! the peanut butter toast and roasted charsiu were absolute winners 👌🏻👌🏻
