This old-school Taiwanese porridge spot is definitely not a hidden gem, bustling with customers even on a weekday night at 8pm. Had the peashoots, δΈζ―ιΈ‘, hotplate tofu, fermented fried pork, and everything easy seasoned to perfectly pair with their sweet potato porridge! Had some drinks before and came slightly buzzed which was the perfect say to enjoy the delicious food. Highly recommended for supper since it opens until 2am π And did I mention no gst no service charge π³
Set comes with soup and steamed egg, pork was good and many thanks to Daniel who, as other reviews have mentioned, cooked the meat to perfection π Personal favourite though has to go to the potato cheese jeon which was so sinful and came with picked onions to cut through the fat.
For the free sides, the potato salad was quite finely mashed with lots of egg, quite different from the usual, and the spicy marinated squid was unctuous and went really well with the pork!
For drinks, melona makgeoli started zesty and refreshing, and got sweeter and more milky as the melona melted, really good value for $10 during happy hour.
