Pastries, sweets and snacks
Got one of each to try - filled with bak kwa, pork floss and yam; and also picked up the intriguing Cereal Momoji, which turned out really yummy! Burst of flavours and very interesting textures combined. Itโs basically BreadTalkโs signature Pork Floss bun in a light chiffon cheese cake form. Super soft and very flavourful (sweet), a little spicy too. Worth a try!! ๐๐ป
Mini fruit tarts and apple crumble pies.
interesting flavours. S$19.90 for two pints promo, good time to try! (not so good for the waistline... ๐ )
๐๐ ๐คญ๐ So there were three packs left on the shelf and I just had to pick one up. Verdict: Itโs not bad, does have a faint hint of Bak Kwa but mostly just savoury sweet seasoning, not exactly my favourite.
how about a whole garden of cakes to satisfy your sweet tooth? ๐๐๐ #Throwback to the cakes tasting at STRAY by Fatcat at Orchard Central, thanks to Eleanor and Ivanโs invite! ๐๐ป Every piece is a work of art, almost too pretty to be devoured! Delicate textures, made with Japanese techniques, and not too sweet at all. A visual and culinary treat.
I think Iโm loving my Stojo collapsible eco cup a little too much! ๐ Itโs such a functional and beautiful photo โpropโ too! Matcha latte with an almond croissant at the new Pullman Bakery at Havelock Road.
Teabreak at the fairly new Maison Kayser at Suntec City (near Toys โR Us) ๐ฅ๐ต๐
Quite interesting ๐๐ป The top of the bun has a very slight crunch to it, while the bun itself is soft and creamy. The โbubblesโ are more jello-like and less chewy compared to regular taro bubbles. I like the Earl Grey flavours in it, both in the bread and the cream, almost like a cream puff ๐ Nice touch with the wafer roll, just a shame itโs no longer crunchy after sitting out on the shelves. Worth a try!
Forever attracted to pretty packaging ๐ Pomelo Jasmine Tea and Rose Lychee Black Tea - S$2.85 for two bottles at NTUC Fairprice.
๐ฐ๐ฎ๐จ๐ฉ๐ช Part of Marina Squareโs #FoodiegramSundays, Cake Club is a pop-up concept open only on weekends (between 14 July - 26 August) at the Glasshouse @ The Roof Garden #03-03. July features selected sweets and cakes from several local favourites including:
๐ฐ Non Entree Desserts
๐ฐ Bloomsbury Bakers
๐ฐ In the Brickyard
๐ฐ Kohi Kohi
๐ฐ Ciel Patisserie
๐ฐ Milk Moons
๐ฐ My Sister Bakes
๐ฐ 1872 Clipper Tea
Loooook at all those delectable, too-pretty-to-eat sweet treats! A feast for the eyes too! ๐ We had the Fried Salted Egg Avalanche with Vanilla Ice-Cream, Fried Orhni (yam paste) Avalanche with Coconut Gelato, Rubber Ducky (mango pomelo dessert inspired pudding that oddly resembles detergent!! ๐), Rosรฉ, Exotique, Pulut Hitam, Speculoos Cheesecake... seriously sugar overload!! ๐คค
THANKS Eleanor for letting me tag along for this tasting ๐
How could anyone see this and not be intrigued? Couldnโt resist the novelty, and just had to try them. The Chicken Rice flavour is really interesting! Distinct ginger kick.. yet sweet! The crunch is pretty addictive.
Forever falling prey to marketing gimmicks ๐ ๐ Just couldnโt resist the novelty...
