Just Japanese
It comes with thickly cut sashimi, a side salad, miso soup and chawanmushi. The slightly scary thing is the colour of the salmon which comes in a bright tinge of orange.
After seeing this on @sgfoodonfoot feed, I knew I had to try this. The beef was thinly cut but oh-so-fatty! 😍 The soft boiled egg was also perfectly executed.
Look at the beautiful marbling of both the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu ($28) and Prime USDA Ribeye ($18)! My mum loved the prawns ($6/100g) as they were fresh and sweet.
If you like Caesar salad, you should give their version a try as well.
Dad ordered his favourite dish again!
This is also valid during weekends! All you need is just flash your MOE pass.
Making use of 1-1 a la carte food items from @grabzsg so total cost of this meal was only $9.90! Super affordable! Always happy with the choices at Makisan. However, today my roll fell apart even before I ate it 😣 the one you see propped on the box was the only one that was fine.
A total of 17 dishes have been selected and discounted like this UME Sashimi Mix (available only at Liang Court) which is originally priced at $58 and now costs $38! What's more, if you are above 50 years old, you will get to enjoy 50% discount from the original price, so now that I'm dining with my parents, this costs only $29! Items range from sashimi to their signature ramen dishes and tonkatsu sets.
This is the Sashimi Platter ($50) from Nobiro, featuring six types of sashimi. •
The month-old restaurant is located at 108 Faber Drive, next to Buck Tile St. Cafe. You can always tell that a Japanese restaurant is good and authentic by the Japanese crowd that it draws. •
The Sashimi Salad Iwanori Tsumi ($14), served with seaweed and wasabi is also highly recommended. Don't be mistaken by the cover of greens! There is a generous amount of sashimi buried under. And if you love beef, you have to order the Wagyu Tataki!
Sumiya is opening another outlet at Suntec City at the end of June 2015! The outlet will be at the North wing (#03-332/333) and will be a short walk from the GV Cinema. There will be Irori Genshiyaki and a self-dispensing sake!
Featuring Tanuki's Truffle Yakiniku Don which was really tasty and for that price, it's practically a steal! If you can't afford Fat Cow's pricier version of beef don, this is quite a good alternative.
Other than trying their new Brazilian pork collar 🐖or Australian striploin 🐄 shabu shabu, you will also get to enjoy their new Super Yuzu drink 🍹which is very refreshing!
