Singapore has "bak chang", Hong Kong has 糯米雞, China has 粽子, Malaysia has Ketupat, Medan has Lempur Ayam! Lempur Ayam comes in a smaller bite size package wrapped with pandan leave, lightly grilled with a hint of blue ginger flavour. The filling is either chicken floss or dried shrimp in chili. Enak!

One of the icons of Medan street food. This eatery serves up bowls of piping hot soup bee hoon filled to the brink, literally. The coarsely shredded duck meat are added to the soup, topped with fried garlic and generous spring onion. For the jumbo serving, this wicked bowl of breakfast favorite costs a whopping SGD 7!
