The soup was nourishing and it's no wonder they're famous for their soup. The execution on the meat was textbook. Muscle wasn't as good but u can tell they did their best, the meat was naturally slippery and slightly chewy. Portion was generous too

The gelatinous parts though, utterly amazing. Some parts had a pig trotter texture, while others lean slightly to pig skin.

If you're open minded this is some stellar stuff, think it surpasses my grandma's haha and turned me into a convert

Idk if there's svc if you dine in but their service is quite good. The takeaway box is very tightly sealed, to the point that it imploded basically as the soup cooled lol. The takeaway box and utensils were very nicely designed and gf was impressed by the aesthetics

Soup itself was pretty good, very thick and even when you scoop it w a spoon you can see it's opaque. Ckn was tender too. Very deserving of their fame. Chili was average though, just sour

On top of turtle soup, they have recently launched a new dish - 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞. The turtle meat is stir-fry with white pepper, giving the tender meat a mild peppery fragrant. @tansersengherbs constantly innovate and improve their recipes to stay palatable to customers’ changing tastes and preferences.

Founded in 1946, @tansersengherbs is one of the few remaining turtle soup restaurants in Singapore.

First introduced in 1986 was Singapore’s first 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐩. Rich and hearty, this bowl of superior soup was simmered for hours with over 20 quality herbs and ingredients, and it’s packed full of collagen and health benefits. The turtle meat tastes alike to a succulent and tender piece of pork. The jelly pieces were smooth, firm and springy. This is a uniquely tasty dish that surpassed our expectations and it’s not as exotic as one imagined. Note: @tansersengherbs do not use endangered or wild turtles. All their turtles are farmed specifically for consumption.

Apart from their signature Claypot Turtle Soup, @tansersengherbs also offer herbal soups such as the 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐲𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧, 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 and 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐰. Each pot of Gingseng Black Chicken Soup is stewed over night with one whole ginseng, to give a fragrant and rich flavour. As cordyceps are introduced to their chicken’s diet, there is no surprises that the chicken meat is super tender and the chicken skin contains less oil.
