The Lotus Kitchen concept takes vegetarian dishes to new heights with natural premium ingredients.

What’s interesting here is the use of premium ingredients any non-vegetarian may not have heard before.

These ingredients, which are all natural, include lion’s mane mushrooms, agaricus blazei mushroom, tian ma, cordyceps flower, burdock and sugarcane sprout from Taiwan. .

My first time trying the food at Lotus Kitchen and I was impressed. It tastes clean, healthy, yet flavourful.
🔸
For CNY, they have created a line-up of Set Menus catering for 4 to 10 persons, some including this Pen Cai and Yu Sheng. There are several healthy creations, such as a homemade vegetarian fish with fruit salad (my fav dish of the evening), longevity noodles (wait for my post on this), and this Golden Bowl of Fortune Pen Cai which was brimming with over 22 wholesome ingredients.
🔸
I liked how this Pen Cai was lovingly prepared with many different cooking processes, containing many premium vegetarian ingredients. Wholesome and flavorful, I could go meatfree for a day if this is what I'm having.

Eating healthy, eating vegetarian. This time, we went to lotus kitchen at Chinatown Point to try out this vegetarian restaurant.

Ordered the following:
1) xo seafood fried rice : $12.80
2) mushroom hot stone pot : $18.80
3) homemade spicy tofu: $18.80
4) Lion mane mushroom with spinach: $18.80

Overall the food was so-so, the price is pretty expensive. Expensive for vegetarian.

3.5 munchies: With over 50 contemporary vegetarian dishes that are prepared using only natural and premium ingredients to choose from, my top pick goes to the Braised Mushroom. Served in a hot stone pot, it features the meaty lion’s mane mushroom and earthy, smoky shiitake. Besides the stir-frying of crunchy bamboo shoots with chilli and ginger, the sweet and fragrant addition of basil leaves also greatly enhanced the savoury braised sauce. May I have a bowl of brown rice to go with these juicy mushrooms, please? #Burpproved

This was a hosted meal by Lotus Kitchen; many thanks to Brand Cellar for the invitation!

This Braised Mushroom in Hot Pot ($18.80) comes with lion's mane mushroom, shitake mushroom and bamboo shoots is spiked with dried chillies for heat, and cleverly given a tantalising aroma from basil leaves sizzling at bottom of the pot. #FindNewFood #MediaTasting

Started by the same guys behind Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant in Balestier's Quality Hotel Marlow, this restaurant in ChinaTown Point is smart casual concept that's great for family dining. Expect Chinese restaurant staples like dim sum, noodles and hot stir-fries, albeit all vegetarian. The combination of quality ingredients and familiar flavours has struck a chord in many Burpplers' hearts. Dishes that have our community's stamp of approval include the Braised Mushroom in Hot Stone Pot ($18.80), which sees lion's mane mushrooms slicked in a basil-scented sauce, the Signature Stir Fried Laksa ($9.80), a wok-hei laden XO Seafood Fried Rice ($12.80) and Spicy Grilled Cod ($18.80), which sees mock fish slathered with spicy chilli paste. They even do great Cantonese double-boiled soups! Try Burppler jankliciouz's recommended Signature Double-Boiled Herbal Tian Ma Soup ($8.80), brewed using over 10 herbs and premium pearl mushrooms until flavourful and nourishing.
Avg Price: $20 per person

If you love what you had so far at Greendot, you will be pleased to know that Lotus Kitchen is now serving a wider variety, and even better flavours. Try from Dry Laksa to the Crispy Summer Wrap (alike to Peking Duck), Satay Skewers to the Braised mushrooms in hotstone which is my personal favourite. Especially the lion mane mushroom that has been used in their famous rendang, every mouth is bursting with a good rendition of spice and sweetness. If I don't tell you they're vegetarian, you'd probably never going to find out. 😼

Their penang fried kuay teow and stir fried laksa both at $9.80++ are really good, but this XO seafood fried rice $12.80++ won us over. The dish is packed with generous ingredients and a subtle charring aroma. I like the way the rice is piled up in a pyramid shape. The serving is good for 2 persons.

I personally will not order mock dishes in vegetarian restaurant. However being a recommended dish, here it is - The Spicy Grilled Codfish@ $18.8++ is a nicely cooked mock dish, served piping chilliest hot on a hotplate and left my mouth blowing hot. Perhaps it's not a dish for someone who doesn't eat spicy food but it's still missing some oomph for us who love spicy food.

Lotus Kitchen serves contemporary vegetarian cuisine with a wide variety of selections ranging from dimsum, stir fried dishes to noodles/rice — one of which is the Signature Stir Fried Laksa. As with the other dishes that I've tried, even though there is no meat or in this case, no cockles in the laksa, I thought the dishes were had very good flavors.

It's another dining option for the vegetarians and even the non-vegetarians!

Lotus Kitchen — affiliated with Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant at Quality Hotel — is a new vegetarian dining concept offering contemporary local and Taiwanese cuisine using natural premium ingredients.

The dishes we've tried are interesting (in a good way) and taste like the real deal, especially the Signature Stir Fried Laksa ($9.80)! Other recommended dishes include Signature Crispy Summer Wrap with Passionfruit ($35.80), Taro Mee Sua Cake ($6.80) and Braised Mushroom in Hot Stone Pot ($18.80).
-
Braised Mushroom in Hot Stone Pot ($18.80) – Lion's mane mushroom, shiitake and bamboo shoots stir-fried with chilli, ginger and basil leaves. The earthy flavour of the mushrooms; combined with the fragrance of basil leaves; makes this an enjoyable dish that goes very well with a bowl of fluffy rice.

Finally tried lotus restaurant at Chinatown! ✨ I always enjoy a good vegetarian meal occasionally🌱💕 this is one of the pretty high-end family restaurants to get quality vegetarian food (Chinese style). They served a good range of dim sum as well☺️ I believe it is an ideal and well-furnished environment for a family celebration or special occasion, however for regular meals it is kinda pricey, there are other alternatives that I will very much prefer at a cheaper price. However it’s still worth a visit or suitable for special occasions for your parents or grandparents. Do book in advance on 初一十伍🌝✨

Carrot cakes are the best I had tasted. Laksa noodles is appetizing and XO fried rice (portion 2 ppls) tasted very similar to fried rice with salted fish floss. Mock Cod fish was yummy. Texture and taste very close to real meat. Herbal soup abit small portion but taste not bad. After meal dun feel unsatisfied at all. Plus point is affordable and restaurant design quite atas. #sgfood #burpple #vegetarian #vegetariansg #igsg

One of my favourites amongst the dishes tasted here is the Signature Double-boiled herbal tian ma soup ($8.80). I'm Cantonese, so as far as the sterotype goes, yes, I love soup! This soup is flavourful and also a pretty nourish item as it has been steamed and brewed with over 10 herbs and premium quality pearl mushrooms! Check it out at the newly opened Lotus Kitchen in Chinatown Point.

Thanks @lotusvegetarian and @brandcellar for the hosting and invite.
