Favourite dishes were scallops and cauliflower steak

We also had pork, wagyu beef, aged chicken wings and coco maria dessert (hazelnut mousse) and a complimentary slice of brownie (dry)

Not a place i would revisit or highly recommend

Lumo is the latest venture by veteran chef Martin Wong, who used to run Mythz & Myths. A sleek restaurant and cocktail bar along South Bridge Road, this is where you'll find Modern European creations like Aged Chicken Mid-Wings ($17) that've been aged and cooked over woodfire, as well as an aromatic Sakura Pork Chop ($36). Their drinks are based on the concept of breakfast. Try the Stevie J ($20), a Manhattan-type drink with notes of baked apples.

If you're still considering what to get for Father's Day, you can consider Lumo, a restaurant and cocktail bar at South Bridge Road. I've not dined in there, but I've tried the food by their Head Chef Martin Wong @martsffin at several of his previous restaurants and bars which he was Head Chef or Consultant Chef for, and I've spoken much about his food over the past few years.

Highlights for Father's Day include Chef Martin's Chicken Drumettes ($15+) with hot sauce; Japanese Asari Clams ($26+) served with fennel and fettuccine; Sakura Pork Chop ($36+) drizzled with whisky raisin jus; New Zealand Angus Ribeye ($32+) grilled over wood-fire; Burnt Cheesecake ($14+ for a slice or $80+ for whole).

For drinks, they have a Lumo’s Breakfast-inspired cocktails ($30+ each; serves 2), or you can personalize aperitifs ($26+), sours ($32+), three-parters ($34+), and DIY Old Fashioned ($30+) with choice of elements such as spirit, bitters, and garnish. Each cocktail serves 2.

With pickled redcurrant and yogurt cream. This was really good. Creamy cheesecake that barely maintained shape before you sink a fork into it. Theyre running a 30% discount for takeaways during this period. So do show the good people here some support.

This was a bit heavy handed on the cream, resulting in a dish that got too cloying after a few mouthfuls. The truffle oil wasn't very apparent too.

Cajun baby octopus, orange segments, pumpkin seeds, bell pepper confit. The octopus was pretty bouncy and chewy, slightly undercooked but I can imagine how some would enjoy it this way. Loved the confit peppers which were absolutely juicy and flavourful.
