Love to dine at Ma Maison for their $13.90++ set lunches that come with choice of rice/bread, salad, soup of the day, entree and a drink. Love the ambiance and the food is amazing. Favorite restaurant for fusion Japanese food easily!

I always order my usual (Cuttlefish Ink Spaghetti), which is of the same price as the dish that I ordered today.

But this, is OMG! The boomz okay gais! The buttery flavour makes your tongue wanna dance! It not only separates the rice grain by grain, it also coats every grain making sure you taste every bit of it down to every grain, literally. Along with the omelette sitting nicely on top of the hill of rice, the flavours are OME-ZING. Geddit.

Pair it with their beef and the sauce, oh god. This combination is wondrous. The rice is so fragrant, the beef so saucy, you will wolf down every bite.

Lastly, make sure you don’t finish the sauce before the rice! They go perfectly well together!

Definitely adding it to my Ma Madison’s favourites list!

Tip: Scoop the omelette with the rice, but make sure not to fill the whole spoon. Then scoop a piece of beef with the sauce, now that the spoon is filled, feed yourself. Voila!

I’m always on the lookout for good Japanese pastas. Got the carbonara and the mentaiko spaghettis to try, both were a little disappointing and dry. We also got the escargots and clam chowder to start, both of which were only passable. Happened to be in the area on a Monday, so we got a 20% off the bill because of their Ladies Night promotion.

Pictured beef stroganoff with omurice(16.9 if I rmb correctly)

The beef stew was slightly sour for me, but the surprising freshness from the omurice paired really well with the stroganoff

Their tonteki steak and pasta was a bummer, and the tomato soup tasted weird lol

Choux creme was pretty good at 2.3 tho, sweet finish to the meal
