Mad for Garlic is Korea’s first garlic-themed Italian restaurant. The unique concept made its debut in 2001 through Mad for Garlic’s first restaurant in Apgujeong-dong, an affluent entertainment and residential district in southern Seoul. With its unique and innovative menu with garlic-specialized Italian cuisine and an excellent selection of wines, Mad for Garlic soon became one of Korea's most popular restaurant chains. Rather than having a central kitchen system, at Mad for Garlic, the entire cooking process starts with raw materials in the kitchen of each branch to bring fresh food to the table. In 2013, Mad for Garlic was voted by Korea Times and Korea Herald as the Best Performing Italian Restaurant concept in Korea. Currently, there are 40 branches in Korea, two branches in Hong Kong and one in Singapore.

Bowl of mix salad drizzled with olive oil dressing and topped with brown charred chicken. The dish come with a huge baked dough puff with garlic spread. The spread is quite garlicky and prominent garlic small after pulling it open. Not too sure if i need to cut open the puff and eat this together with chicken salad bowl but is definitey a average piece of dish with more than usual generous present!

The only thing mad about this place is their price point LOL. Final bill was 38 dollars for 2 pastas which were only slightly above average (without burpple deal it's about 64 dollars!).

used burpple 1-for-1 on garlic sizzling rice + grilled chicken & mushroom risotto, and ordered the garlic snowing pizza which was so fragrant and yum (the thin crust is to die for). loved how they added fried garlic in all their dishes for the extra flavour 🤤 good for sharing as it got abit jelat for me after eating the same dish constantly.

⭐️ 4/5, will try their pasta dishes next and order the garlic snowing pizza again!

part II of garlic + pasta = winning combination was this lasagna. very nicely put together, each layer was full of flavour and every bite was rich. serving is quite large (for me at least as a girl 😂) so if you’re a small eater maybe share this, but otherwise if you have a big appetite, this is worth fully savouring on your own.

my bf and I are super big garlic fans so we’ll keep it simple - garlic + pasta = winning combination 😊 great service by the staff too, they made it a point to serve the mains together so that one person won’t be eating while the other waits.

Went on a Monday Night during Phase 2 period so the restaurant was very quiet. Staff were courteous and very generous is adding cheese to the pizza which is a definite plus!

Garlic Snowing Pizza: good balance of sweetness from the pineapple + sauce and savoury from the cheese + prawns, garlic chips gave the pizza a nice crunch 8.5/10

Chicken & Mushroom Risotto: Texture of the risotto was good, dish could have used a little more salt for my preference 7/10

Prosciutto Risotto: Nice blend of sweet & savoury flavours, thick creamy texture 7.5/10
