The most surprising item was the BBQ Beef Skewers 西北牛肉串 ($7.80 for 5 pieces). Was expecting this to be a little tough but they were so soft and flavourful!
I love 凉皮 and Xi An Liang Pi 西安秘制凉皮 ($5.80) did not disappoint. The chewy translucent noodle was dossed in a spicy and savoury sauce and this was very appetising.
I can see why Xi An is known for being Carbs Heaven. We ordered the Oil Splashed Noodles 油泼面 Set ($13) with came with Cold King Oyster Mushroom and and a drink of our choice. The bowl is HUGE and the broad noodles (think XXXL ban mian) were cooked just right. Even though this was supposed to be splashed in oil, it was not very oily and it was pretty tasty. I definitely can’t eat this on my own as the noodles were really filling.
