From the Burpple community

I'm already feeding off the colours from this meal! Very well whipped up from this pair of owners, who does the poke marination in front of you - that's how you know the poke is kept fresh.

For the poke bowl, it comes with one poke, one add on (we chose avocado! 🥑), a drink and 6 different toppings, ranging from watermelon balls to sunflower seeds to salsa. All very unique.

We can't resist topping up the poke (+$3) and very worth it. We ended with shoyu salmon chunks and seared scallops - oh they're all so juicy and fresh.

It's super value for money and I'll love to come back again.

Craving for a healthy rice bowl for lunch? Head to this kiosk located at B1 of Guoco Tower for poke bowls of fresh fish and hearty rice. With the Burpple Set ($13.90), enjoy a choice of base topped with generous servings of poke, with Makai Original Shoyu Salmon and Yuzu Soy Ahi Tuna being the popular choice. Complete the set with add-ons of avocado or pomegranate and choice of drink, choosing from Coconut Water, 100plus Zero or Homemade Yuzu Tea.

Fresh and generous, although I am ambivalent about their seasoned watermelon bits haha. Their yuzu lemon tea is also very concentrated and not sweet. Great lunchtime find

The poké bowls taster really healthy. Each bowl had a generous serving of salmon sashimi. The fish tasted fresh, and the sauces (left: classic, right: spicy) covered any fishy taste. Even non-sashimi lovers will love this. The pickled watermelons and carrot strips is an acquired taste, and may not be for everyone. Our drinks(homemade yuzu) were quite diluted, would not recommend. The people tending the store were also q friendly (esp the uncle tending the cashier :D).

Used burpple beyond to get the 1 for 1 burpple set $13.90. I added $3 worth of fish to both bowls. So a total of $19.90 including 2 drinks

Ordered takeaway using Burpple Beyond. The set came with a poke bowl, an add-on and a drink. Paid $3 extra and got the spicy salmon + roasted sesame tuna combi.

Not sure if they gave the wrong sauce but the roasted sesame tuna just tasted like mayo to me. There was too much sauce with the veggies as well, and made it not that healthy. The fish was fresh, and the different textures went quite well together. The watermelon was a surprise as it was so refreshing!

Total amount paid was $16.90 (after $3 top-up for more fish) and it was honestly so worth it! There is also an ongoing Shopback promo where I believe it’s $16.90 for 2 poke bowls.

Be prepared to wait as I went in the evening and there was only one person behind the counter who was manning the cashier and also had to prepare the food as well.
