Very popular place but not for me, I’m not keen on sea food / sushi, although they offer alternatives I find they “seafood free” burritos still taste quite fishy and unfortunately it’s to strong a fishy taste for me

Basically what its name suggests. The makirito is a sushi / burrito. Hahha well technically it's just a really huge sushi roll. It also feels something like subway but with sushi rice instead of bun.

I like it. It's refreshing. Tastes good and filling, though you might overestimate and think it won't be satisfying due to its size. I would say it's a good try. But probs won't go back too often for it as it is quite pricey imho. But well aren't all sushi places exp? Hmm

In the APW bangsar vicinity, there is a famous ootd/Instagram staircase spot that actually leads up to a small home of a special snack called the sushi burrito.. This sushi burrito is actually the brainchild of Makirito that runs permanent pop shop here after having a lot of experimenting fun with their mobile pop up around the kl area.. You may spot a hand drawn menu on their windows along side the pricing which is reasonable relative to their portion.. I chose their Signature Salmon burrito (RM16)which is actually hand made individually by their expert makirito minions.. it's really a hearty treat after a nice cuppa coffee as the flavours are really refreshing and the Salmon is really fresh to be enjoyed.. They are actually a small little home to just sit for a while or to just grab and go.. Their menu is still in the early stages with a few combinations but do expect them to have more funky combinations soon!

After a sell-out streak at several pop-ups last year, Makirito has built a permanent spot perched atop 52 Barbers in APW. These guys dole out Japanese makis shaped like burritos, hence their name! It sounds deceptively simple, but according to co-founder Kent, months of experimentation have gone into perfecting these six-inch makis. The result is in the roll. Try the Signature Salmon (RM16), which melds fresh salmon, masago (capelin roe) and chuka wakame (seasoned seaweed) with a shoyu mayo sauce. Its no-frill flavours satisfy with freshness and a sound ratio of fillings. Also a top dish is the Spi-Seafood (RM15) that features salmon with jellyfish, crab salad, pineapple and masago. The hit of heat comes from chili flakes and its distinctive flaming mayo sauce. In case fish doesn't appeal to you, there are options for Teriyaki Chicken (RM13) and Spicy Tofu (RM10). The joint caters primarily to grab-and-go customers, but there are three small tables, as well as an al-fresco seat in the balcony, for dining in. Make this your next stop for quick lunches with a friend!

Popped into this small setup above the barbershop to sample these burrito-style makis, and I'm sold at first bite. The Spi-Seafood is jam-packed with fresh salmon, jellyfish and crab salad with a handful of pineapple and masago to finish. Their "flaming mayo sauce" isn't all too flaming, but definitely adds a pleasurable heat to the maki. It's extra satisfying if you watch the man behind the counter spread these even layers methodically onto rice, all held together by a seaweed sheet.

Check out this newly opened sushi burito place in town! They serves healthy and filling (but not too heavy) meals on the go!

Located at the APW Bangsar, this humble, minimalist place serves a really good sushi rolls with a twist! The founder named it Makirito because it is basically the combination between maki (sushi) + rito (burrito), that’s a clever one!

We ordered Signature Salmon (RM 16) and Spi-Seafood rolls (RM15). Both are reallyyy nice, feels healthy, however Spi-Seafood is still my favorite though XD Spi-Seafood roll is loaded with mixed seafood (salmon + jellyfish), pineapple, chili flakes, crab salad, masago (fish roe) and drizzled with generous amount of flaming mayo sauce. The combination is just nice and I would say this one is the bomb! A must try roll in here, yea! The Signature Salmon roll is stuffed with salmon chunks, masago, chuka wakame (seaweed) and shoyu mayo sauce. This one taste lighter than Spi-Salmon but I still prefer the one with a little kick of spiciness 😜 If you’re ordering Spi-Seafood, it can be a little messy towards the end, i’ve warned you (but it’s worth it)!

I think this is a perfect place if you feels like having a quick solo lunch or if you’re on the rush and need something to grab & go. Definitely will come back again for their Spi-Seafood! ❀

P.S: Parking could be a little problematic here, just pray hard that you are lucky to get a decent parking
