Tossed Noodles with Prawns & Dried Shrimp Roe (S$16.70++)

Wanton noodle with soup at mak's noodle is simply amazing. The noodle was extremely springy. Dumplings were filled with juicy prawns. Singaporeans who missed HK style wanton noodle should not miss this as it is one of the famous wanton noodles in HK. Portion is small though..
Price: $6.90

Wonton And Beef Tendon soup ($8.30++)
Tastes nice, but portion was small for price paid.

Brisket was quite tender and very flavourful but for its price the portion is quite disappointing. 3 small pieces but at least there were 5 pieces of shrimp wanton that were filled to the brim with exceedingly bouncy prawns. Hard to understand why they don't offer a mix of tendon, brisket and wanton when there are options to mix any of the two.

Obviously shadowed by newer names such as Tsui Wah and Mui Kee here, their tables were sparsely occupied when we visited.
There were negative reviews about drop in their standards. But after a long time, we still enjoyed the simplicity of their noodles. Maintaining the authenticity of HK noodles, we found the small bowls of noodles apt for our late dinner without being too heavy. Some might still find the price high for the portion although it was still acceptable for the taste.

I ordered the wanton & dumpling with plain noodle soup. I thought the shrimp wanton was really good, not too sure of the bamboo & fungus dumpling. However I like the fact that they have regular and large size for their noodles selection, at least wouldn’t over eat.
