the reason is near my house, the food option are a lot (for Northpoint outlets), and majority is good.
This time I tried the Damansara Chilli Pan Mee. Thick chewy noodles toasted in their chilli sauce and egg, served with minced meat, braised mushrooms and vegetables.
Downside portion is too small for $6 and can’t add more chilli 😆.
💰$6.

The char kway got light wok hei, not too oily, served with prawns and pork lard.

If you stay in the North, this is the place to visit for Malaysian street food! There are many stalls here selling common Malaysian delights such as Penang chendol, char kway teow, chilli ban Mee and of course, the Penang Hokkien Mee! Note that the Malaysian Hokkien Mee is a soup dish and it differs from the dry Hokkien Mee we commonly find in Singapore.

The broth was the highlight as it was really flavourful and you can tell that it has been boiled with prawns for a long time. The broth was also slightly spicy as it has dried chilli paste mixed into it so you may not want to get this dish if you are not good with spicy food! Also, if you do not like the yellow noodles, you can request for the stall to change the noodles to bee hoon as well!

For $5, this is a very affordable dish!

A small bowl of traditional Penang cendol is what you need to end your meal here. Those pale green strands of jelly is packed with pandan flavour, unlike those fake bright green ones you find in most food courts. Wish there was more of them though! The gula melaka and those big red beans were really good as well! 👍

Savory slightly sweet gravy that was thick and delightful. Coated the yellow noodles well. Not much ingredients but I liked it.
