Good portion of noodles, vegetables, minced pork, fried ikan bilis, braised mushrooms and a poached egg. The noodles were springy and firm in texture, but the chilli was nothing to write home about.

The staff never asked if want spicy or not. Anyway it’s slightly spicy. A tab too oily.
Why served on a chipped plate? Somemore no chopsticks 🥢 available. Had to ask for disposable chopsticks 🥢!

Had to wait for about 15mins for this dish to be ready but it was certainly worth the wait. The dark soya sauce and bits of salted fish carried the savoury flavour of the dish. It was fragrant and flavour-packed. The chicken meat was also very tender while the lapcheong added a nice touch of sweetness to the otherwise savoury dish. Of course the quintessential element of claypot rice - the burnt rice is found at the bottom of the pot :)

Char kway teow is one of my favourite dishes, especially the ones that are lighter in colour with a strong wokhei taste. This one hits all the right spots with generous amounts of beansprouts and egg for texture

the gula melaka is generous, the green desktop and the coconut milk makes this sweet dessert a favourite among the diners in the food court.

The service is ok. Elderly uncle who works quite fast during peak hours. The food court has other Malaysian favourites like chilli pan mee and prawn noodles.

Mom complained that the last time she got this, the rice was burnt. So I asked them not to over cook the rice. It was perfect, with crispy bits at the bottom. The chicken was tender enough but I didn’t like the salted fish inside. The black sauce was also not enough, making the dish on the bland side.
