After 6pm, this goes for $2! I enjoyed the walnuts and raisins, but the rest of the bread itself was merely average. Tasted very much like a normal wholemeal loaf, but jazzed up with walnuts and raisins.

After 6pm, this goes for $2! Comparable to Duke Bakery's chocolate buns, this tear-apart chocolate bread was heavenly after being warmed in the oven. The generosity of chocolate chips became evident as eating the bread was an extremely sticky and messy affair, but in the best possible way.

I like that the filling isn't that sweet and the bread was soft. It seems that they have reduced the quantity of the pumpkin paste though ):

As you can see, the bun is stuffed with red bean paste! It is a bit on the sweeter side, so I could only eat half a bun at any one sitting. Also, there are not as many walnuts as there used to be, and the bun is much smaller. That said, the last time I bought bread from Mama was probably 5 years ago, so the decrease in size could be justified by an effect of inflation over the years, as the price has remained the same!

Also, I must commend the tasty wholegrain bread used to make the bun. I think it is very underrated and easy to overlook with the in-your-face red bean paste. More bakeries should use wholegrain bread in sweet buns to balance out the sugar and processed carbs!! But maybe this is just a reflection of my ageing taste buds and preferences haha.

This bun is stuffed full with red bean paste, with a few crunchy walnut pieces. The red bean paste is not too sweet, and the amount was just right. I enjoyed the bread itself too – it's solid and dense enough to hold its own, and goes well with the filling.

Omg I swear it is rly huge and it cost like $3 ish only. Even though it is filled with chocolate chips, every bite feels as though it's chocolate lava!!! The bread is soooooo dense and full of chocolate taste!!! And ofc, I love chocolate a lot soooooo 😭
