As you can tell the portion is absolutely huge. Again the sauce is actually spicy wow, and quite appetising with sweet notes

Have a choice on whether to get a mix of jokbal and bossam. Well they're known for jokbal so why not go all jokbal? Particularly when they have 2 kinds of jokbal

The original one is lightly seasoned, not bad and there's a bit of bite and chew, not the kind that melts in your mouth. Mild flavours

The spicy one tho, is where it's at. Intensely flavoured, its perhaps the only thing so far on the 4th day of my trip that made me reach for water cos of heat. It's got serious sweetness and umami too from the braising and the sauce, as well as impeccable gelatinous texture.

At this point I've visited a convenience store and nothing but Michelin recommended restaurants. This was the first one that impressed me and meets my expectation of a Michelin recommended restaurant. No idea how they are so empty but I'm not complaining.

I knew I couldn't finish but I couldn't stop popping one piece after another into my mouth. At one point in time I actl considered just pushing myself to finish the entire plate cos it's rlly that good.

Must try!

Very average, there's two Mandus and the rest were tteokbokki.

I ordered a set for 2pax on WAUG for 50sgd, surprisingly there's no crowd at all on Thursday night. It's basically 3 tables at any one time

Jokbal orders at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal also come with this mandu and tteokbokki soup that is served on an in-built hotplate on each table. We didn’t know it would come along with the jokbal so thank goodness I couldn’t tell the difference between the mandus on the menu or I would’ve ended up with tons more mandu. The soup looks unassuming and plain at first because all the ingredients were hidden at the bottom, but upon boiling, the delightful little gems of mandus and sliced topokki floated to the surface. We were so amused by their appearance 🤣

The clear soup is great to wash down the flavour-packed jokbal, and the tiny mandus had just enough tender minced meat in them for a yummy savoury bite. The topokki here is thick and cut into flat slices. They were more chewy and less doughy than other rice cakes we’ve had. Enjoyed this soup very much, especially in the winter :)

I like the green radish it's rlly refreshing but the chives were undercooked. The cabbage is sweet by itself tho, what an epiphany
