First time at the much-raved Man Man! Ordered the most expensive food item on the menu for lunch. Comes with poached egg, broth, Japanese rice, pickles, spices, miso soup, nori, and of course the main star of the dish - unagi! I love that Man Man has 2 types of unagi sauce at the side of each table. Usually unagi sets come with rather stingy amounts of sauce but this is self-serve sauce in spicy and non-spicy can be added at your own preference. It was so good and so filling. Didn’t have dinner after.

Unagi craving satisfied! The unagi was really fresh and well bbq- crispy and yummy! Although quite costly for the portion

A bed of rice topped with Japanese unagi, served with a small teapot of dashi broth, a small plate of pickles, and a plate of condiments containing strips of seaweed, chopped spring onion and a piece of fresh wasabi to be grated on your own. Quality of the unagi is on point! Grilled to perfection, tender and flavourful, with a nice crisp to it. The dashi stock was lighter than I expected it to be but it does give a warm comforting touch to eat it as a tea rice soup (ochazuke). We are not wasabi fans but we still grated a bit to try since we paid for it already. Surprisingly, the fresh wasabi had the wasabi fragrance but not the pungent burning sensation that we disliked. Pretty interesting experience to us! There are also additional sauces (sweet sauce, unagi sauce, spicy sauce) available on the table but I think it is delicious on its own.

Recommended? It is a definite yes from me if you are looking for good quality unagi and willing to pay as the prices here are pretty steep. However, if you are looking for a place to chill and chat around with your friends and family, this might not be the best option as the service here is quite efficient in order to serve the hungry customers waiting under the hot sun.

finally tried Man Man Unagi. surprisingly not many people on a Friday afternoon. maybe cause their basic unagi set (this) cost $34.70 after tax. soft unagi meat mixed with the crispiness of its skin after being grilled. still not as good as the unagi place in Fuji. and probably wouldn't pay $34.70 for this. 4/5

Though it was pricey ($25.90++) for a regular size, it worth every single cent. Was super impressed by the wasabi that I was able to grate it my own. I read it somewhere that real wasabi is supposed to be super expensive on its own 😱 srsly wouldn't mind having this again 😋😋

🎉Eeelectrifyingly yummy is the word to describe the #unagi at Man Man🎉 Fresh eels are being sliced, prepared and chargrilled to perfection in front of you. Of coz snapping up the counter seats gets you the best view🥰Not for the faint hearted though😬
We ordered a double large bowl 😂😂😂 which consisted of two large slabs of unagi. To our surprise, there was even a layer of unagi sandwiched btw the rice. I Guess you really get double the “layers”. You can enjoy the unagi three ways. 1️⃣Original - on its own 2️⃣ you can grate the fresh wasabi on the side to enjoy with your unagi 3️⃣enjoy it with the broth.
❤️The skin was crispy and the sauce that accompanied the eel was amazing 👍🏻 The only turn off was probably the queue. One word of advice- be prepared to queue or go early 🥴
