With rich history dating all the way back to 1988, @margaritasdempseyhill is certainly an unassuming find at the cluster of @dempseyhillsg. Serving up memorable fiesta with authentic Mexican fare with no pretence, expect dishes like Pollo De Las Margarita (chicken cooked in spicy margarita concoction), Panuchos De Cazon (stuffed snapper specialty from Yucatan Peninsula), classic street-style corn and tacos with sick guacamole – pair them well with their extensive list of famous margaritas made with 100% blue agave tequilas.
.
The high-beamed ceilings, decorative wrought iron, Mexican antiques along with contemporary art all add personality to this museum-like spot to spice up your lively digs in its massive interior. While the Hacienda design style on the outside celebrates the rustic elegance and timeless appeal of Mexico's old-world estates, with a relaxing patio providing a civilised respite from the other part of town.

🍹TGIF y’all! Have a good one.

And this is what justifies the price tag: great service. The service staff checked in with us to see how was our dining experience and offered us a complimentary Brownie dessert for Mother's Day! Not spectacular but a nice gesture nonetheless. I'll be coming back (but not too soon as I'll burn a hole in my wallet if I come too often)!

And we've saved the best for last! The margarita cooked chicken was perfectly succulent and tender, partly justifying its $36++ price tag. Combine it with the sauce, vegetables and refried beans in a tortilla and you'll know what authentic Mexican food truly tastes like. This was one of their off-the-menu specials so you'll have to specially ask for it.

At $20++ the deep fried dish resembles more bar food than restaurant flair. On one hand I really enjoyed the succulent insides of this "fried burrito" but at the same time feel guilty from how full I felt after eating it. A good try for those wanting to see what Tex-Mex cooking is really like!

Previously I had the chicken fajitas when I first came to this place. The pork fajitas had a tougher texture similar to mutton but retained the flavour with just enough fat left after cooking. One bite into a (self assembled) wrap reveals how tender the meat is with the caramelized onions and various sauces. At $32++ this dish is meant to share as a main.

I loved this place so much that I decided to come back for Mother's Day! I simply had to share what I had found with my mom.

This was the Crab Meat and Avocado Quasidellas. I'm used to cheesy chicken varieties like that from KFC or Tony Romas but this was a refreshing twist. Literally refreshing! The lightness of the crab meat coupled with the thin tortillas and refreshing avocado paste slipped off the palate easily. At $32++ this was one of their off-the-menu specials and is a great starter to share!
